Yeah I have been having this doubt for quite sometime. Maybe this diet regimen is for people who have good Agni (digestive capacity) and are not diagnosed with any chronic conditions.

Sir every practitioner says different things.I m confused only by this ayurveda.
Many ayurvedic nutritionists say not have fruits as your breakfast as its only full of fibre and water. They say to have some energy rich protein based breakfast.U r saying opposite.
Best time to have fruits is as a mid morning or mid evening snack.
Having raw fruits is prohibited by many in case of manda agni. They say them to eat stewed fruits like stewed apples, verries.Only raw pomegranate is advised to eat everyday.

These instructions are for the general public, and not for patients. And Ayurveda is highly subjective, that’s why there are hospitals and clinics. This video is for identifying the common mistakes and correct them. And also never steam or cook fruit ..

@@ananditachauhan5285 Not only Astanga Hridayam we also refer charaka samhitha, sustutha samhita, bhaishagya rathnavali, sharanga samhita, Bhavaprakasha nighantu and a few more authentic books, 80% of all these books opine the same but the rest 20%, yes there are differences of opinion. I’ll tell you the reason.
Each text was written in different parts of India at different time lines. The beauty is without disturbing the fundamentals they have voiced their opinions. Those days as we know there was no social media and they were happy to address the ppl of that particular geographical location. Obviously the life style for a person in a hot region will be different for the person in cold region. So the instructions also differedr. The Ayurvedic doctor must understand this and look at the place of treatment, prakruthi of the patient and write a prescription.
That is the reason why susruthacharya would have suggested surgery for a condition and charaakacharya would have opined to treat it with medicines.
Ayurveda is highly intellectual and our acharyas intended to give this to the doctors who are wise and intelligent. Who can understand that the seemingly subtle differences are highly subjective and hence the difference. So it’s not right to blame Ayurveda. I echo your opinion about some of the Ayurvedic doctors today, who is treating Ayurveda like allopathy and trying the standardise it. It can never happen. The very strength of our shastras it’s differences and yet treat the patients successfully.
      Thank you
