Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “One who recites Surah Yaseen in the whole night merely seeking Allah’s will, Allah Almighty would remove all his sins"
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “if one is dying, you should recite Surah Yasin for him.”

I agree. I am non-Muslim looking into Islam after studying Qur'an, ahadith, fiqh, philosophy, arguments for Tawhid, etc. for over 5 years. A bit roadblock is that I just don't find many of the Arabian modes of recitation appealing. This is the first Qur'anic recitation where I actually felt peaceful and deeply moved. However, I wonder if it's bi'dah to recite outside of the typical Arabian styles? I try and stay away from innovations.

tried Islam for various reasons. I too have family and friends who are Muslims and I lived in a Muslim country for a few years. Please take heed as this is a serious matter. Continue your journey. I returned to faith and a relationship with our God the Christ for several reasons. Scientifically, Relationally, and most of all Ethically-Islam is flawed...Flawed tremendously. Please understand I know what you're going through. If you still have an open Mind I will add a few queries for you to ponder-Does this sound like God?
1. Scientifically- The Quran states "Literally" not as a metaphor (study the wording)-that the sun sets on the earth Surah 18:86 (it is clarified in the Hadith.)
1a. Scientifically- Hadith Sahi Bukhari States that Drinking Camel Urine is healthy ( In Bukhari but Hadith's are numbered differently-Do the research)
2. Relationally- The Quran states that Mohammed, through "God" ordered men to have sex with married women Surah 4:24 ...because according to this god, sex with a slave is ok. There's so much wrong with this I don't know where to begin. Sex with another woman who is not your wife is wrong, sex with a woman whose husband is alive, having a slave, forcing a slave to have sex with you-All so wrong....Oh my Brother...Does this sound like god?
2a. Relationally-If you fear arrogance from your wife Surah 4:34 says you can strike her.
3. Ethically- One of the 99 names of Allah is the greatest Deceiver-Some Qurans and muslims will say 'No! this means planner or schemer', but the word for "planner or schemer' as they say, is "Makara" in Arabic which means Deceit. -If "God" is great at being disingenuous or guileful, How can I possibly trust him and love him and entrust him with my soul?
3a. Ethically- Is it good to Hate Jews (racism?)Surah 98:6, or 5:51.
Brother , there is SOoo much more, but I'm afraid this is overwhelming. Please, understand Jesus Adores you. and I can't do Him any justice with mere words.
