I was raised catholic. It never felt right. My questions never answered, my doubts never dispelled. So-called christians living their life without any remembrance of God. By the mercy of Allah swt, one day I heard part of Surah Ya-Sin being recited. I didn't know what it was. I thought 'How beautiful! What is he saying? Is it a song? Poetry? No, it's something more. What? What does it mean?' I felt both humbled and elevated at the same time by a few words in a language I didn't understand. Well, my mind didn't understand but my soul knew and recognized the words of Allah swt. I researched and studied and came to love Al Quran. Some people stop there, I didn't. Alhamdulillah, I accepted Islam. Allah swt guided me home and Surah Ya-Sin was the first ray of light to illuminate the way.
Ma sha Allah. For me it was Al Fatiha. I was searching it so long after loosing it. It was just translation, but it entered my heart. I studied others religions to find it, because I didn't know it was in Islam. And one day I found!

I have been listening to Omar Hisham for like 2 to 3 years now. First it was ALLAH's names and then surah rahman and then surah yaseen.. last year - 365 i listened to Surah Rahman every day early in the morning in the office - and this year it's Surah Yaseen. Every day, early morning in the office.
For 2024; I will choose another Surah. These recitations help me to learn Arabic as well and it's so soothing and calming. Everyday when i listen to this, i believe that ALLAH is very near by me and is watching me. So yeah...
