It's crazy how much these voice actors actually physically resemble their characters! Cal Dodd could be a very believable Wolverine, Chris Potter basically IS the real-life Gambit, and this guy....definitely IS The Beast!
Beast is the gem in the x-men series, as a kid I loved wolverine but as I got older I really liked beast, most of the x-men are drop dead gorgeous and can hide underneath their skin but beast doesn't have that luxury, and his name is the opposite of his characteristics. That one scene where the x-men break into prison and try to help him out , he decides to stay behind and feel he should be tried in a court of law, that just sums up beast. He is a true gentlemen. There was one episode where he is speaking to spider-man and he tells him "I see there is a science mind underneath that mask" (I am paraphrasing) , things like that just gets me.As a kid I had the wolverine toys .I wanted to be wolverine , as I got older I turned into Beast. The best part was to see Kelsey Grammer play him , Frasier was my favorite series as a kid.I watch the old episodes with a different lens nowadays, partly because Beast is my favorite character.
This man is the only character of the Xmen who was able to stop Apocalypse! Nuff said! 2021 and those Xmen episodes are now more relevant today than when it aired!
Wonderful interview, and his face does look like beast and his voice is wonderful as beast and can not wait for his return as well as the res of the cast for X-men 97 :)
4:01 This is a funny story, because Hugh Jackman also recalled the story of his audition, and there was also a guy who whispered something into Bryan Singer's ear which apparently caused him to cast him as Wolverine. :D He had a reputation to listen to anybody. :D I loved his cameo in the first X-Men movie, he was even sleeping on a couch during that bar scene in which Wolvie pulls off his claws for the first time.
Was in college when _X-Men_ debuted, meaning I grew up on "preachy" 70s and 80s sitcoms. _X-Men_ resonated so well with so many, I'd guess, because it demonstrated that real-life issues could be conveyed _in the context of_ a show -- a kids' show, no less! -- rather than being _explicitly fronted by_ a show. Great work, and my first introduction to these great characters... and my favorite portrayals by far.
7:40 "I'm just an old guy now." Well, time to dust off the old reading glasses and warm up your voice, cuz' fall 2023 isn't that far away, beastie boy. ^_^ Looking forward to seeing him and the other cast members in X-Men '97 for a least a couple of years. Marvel Studios had better let the cast do some interviews when the show airs. They absolutely deserve the grand treatment.
Great interview, learned some behind the scene facts, makes sense learning from Beast (George). Great question about the "facts of life" from beast, Chris.
I remember watching a few episodes where there were credits at the end that had Beast segments where the character would talk about bullies and with the help of friends (teammates) you can overcome. Not sure what happened with those small segments. Just wish i could find them.
it was also a cool cameo that he appeared in the first X-MEN movie even if he will always deserve much better than just a trucker god i love that movie despite been too short which basically was my main complaint about it wish i could say the same for fucking Dark phoenix ..... sigh
god damn man, what kind of HAG mother will throw away her child's X-men comic books?? if my mother did that to me i will never call her mother ever again still very grateful that mother is a Saint instead and she even sat to watch 90s X-men with me when i was a teen boy those were better days for me.. since X-men was always sacred to me and she understood it's deep values anyway is amazing how much he resembles Hank Mccoy i can totally see him playing the live action version of Beast easily blessings to all this cast and X-men

Lenore Zann would've been a great Rogue if X men movie was made when she was young.
he totally looks like Henry Mccoy
if only he had Blue fur
U should look at the gargoyles voice actors. They modeled the characters after the voice actors
Like they were destined to play the role
George Buza's calm gentle voice doesn't need to modulate just to fit into Henry McCoy character. He really hits the bullseye😊😊😊😊
He looks like he could be David Harbour's father!
beast is a great character and George totally embodied the role. his voice acting is very memorable.

Brought Beast to life! I loved his performance

I never knew he was in the first X-men movie! Nice little fact there!
All credit goes to Rachel for finding that tidbit while we were researching :-)

this guy is a BEAST. What a cool dude
George Buza is a great character actor.
George to me will always be the definitive voice of Beast/Hank MCcoy
Great interview, learned some behind the scene facts, makes sense learning from Beast (George). Great question about the "facts of life" from beast, Chris.
"You dare rise against me? The human era is over, the mutant era has come."
Yep, he voiced Magneto in the X-Men: COTA fighting game
Fox should cast him as beast in the new movie
A living LEGEND
It’s nice to see an actual writer.
FASCINATING!

Mr. Buza seems like an awesome guy!
I saw this guy yesterday at Horror-Rama Toronto. He's nice guy and I got my picture taken with him and his autograph too :D

DOUBAR**
He had a cameo in first x men movie
This guy is GREAT !
George Buza is a awesome voice Actor.
The number one thing I want to hear is the voice actor doing the voice of the character and I have not seen that in any of these interviews
GREAT INTERVIEW!!!! be great if you could interview the people behind the soundtrack of the show too
It would be a delight to do that one of these days.
He is the definitive Hank McCoy, and I love him for his portrayal
He was also the henchmen guy in the 1980's era movie "The Brain".
He was also in Sinbad
He’s how I pictured he would look.
god damn man, what kind of HAG mother will throw away her child's X-men comic books??
if my mother did that to me i will never call her mother ever again
still very grateful that mother is a Saint instead

those were better days for me..
since X-men was always sacred to me and she understood it's deep values
anyway is amazing how much he resembles Hank Mccoy
i can totally see him playing the live action version of Beast easily
blessings to all this cast and X-men
This nigga actually looks like the cartoon character he was voicing 😂😂😂
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I definitely heard Beast in that last sentence
He does look like Hank McCoy. Paint him blue and you've got Beast.
He also played in sinbad the sailor show in the late 90 s early 2000s
Omg didnt know it was Doubar - The Adventures of Sinbad (1996)
he looks like the guy from strange things that played black widows dad
Never even thought about that. def a resemblance
He looks like he can play a li e action beast
Beast
DOUBAR i remember THE ADVENTURES OF SINBAD
is it just me or does he sound like brian griffin / seth mcfarlane?
George Buza=Mean Gene (Meatballs 3)
Dubar!
George Buza
3:45 To be fair, the show isn't in our world.
Those eyebrows!
I don't think furry beast existed in the comics when he read comics. Pretty sure it was a 90s creation.
Curry beast got his furry looksnin 70's
@@kanukki84 Its when a young George Perez started drawing The Avengers is when Hank McCoy got all blue and fuzzy.
@@cassiebelmont993 its was in 1972 when Beast changed to furry appearance, before he joined the Avengers. Im not sure maybe that was Amazing fantazy
