How to read Siemens S7 PLC tags in Simatic WinCC | PCS7 tag management

WinCC Explorer tag management section defines connection protocol between WinCC Scada and the Simatic S7 PLC program. After establishing the connection, the second step is to add all required PLC signals in the tag management section of the WinCC.
In this video, i have added only two signals for instance. Both Digital. One digital input and another digital output. Each signals must be defined with its specific address in PLC Project.
After addition of these digital signal in Tag section, the next step i followed was to display the status of these signals on the runtime HMI. I changed the digital signals status from PLCSIM simulator and observed the changes on runtime HMI.

Even simple in TIA. You dont have to make additional settings. Once u define tags in logic, are accessible in wincc HMI as in TIA portal both step 7 and WinCC are in same software package.

If the SCADA is made in wincc explorer but the process is in TIA portal (not integrated between them) How we can make the connection of the signal?
Can i access to a DB in TIA portal trought a WinCC?

@@PLCNerd Hi! What happens if I have to update an old WinCC to TIA portal WinCC, but the PLC logic is still running in an old version of step 7? Will they be able to communicate?
