Clearly ahead of her time. The audience did not appreciate her artistry. But as a millennial born in the 90's I can say that her music is timeless and she is a phenomenal musician!

Acabo de ver está gran presentación de una Reina de la música, era toda una dama elegante y fina, por eso la bola de nacos que tuvieron el privilegio de verla en vivo estaba con sus caras de pendejos porque estaban acostumbrados a ver a la Tesorito o Paquita la del barrio, no sabían la clase de muñeca que tenían enfrente y que en sus miserables vidas volverán a tener tan cerca, QUE GRAN MUJER, ARTISTA Y QUE CLASE PARA PARARSE EN EL ESCENARIO, HASTA LA FECHA NO HA HABIDO ALGUNA ARTISTA COMO ELLA 😍😍

gracias por subirlo, esa ocasion estaba en mi primer trabajo y me dio coraje que no pude verlo en tv pero me lo grabaron y medio mas coraje que la gente apagada, si hubiera estado ahi en Acapulco , abrio con Too many Walls despues just another dream y finalizo con all night long touch me, el problema fue que todos esperaban a la princesa estefania y eso apago la prsentacion de Cathy Dennis, pero en los antros sonaba bastante.
Cierto todos esperaban a estefanie ..yo siempre me gustaron las dos en esa epoca eran mis dos cantates favoritas de habla ingles ..que bonitos recuerdos

Cuando vi la presentación me pareció sensacional su estilo, voy y el sonido de sus canciones, curiosamente hacia unos dias había escuchado su hit touch me en la radio. Me dio tanta Algeria cuando la presentaron en este festival. excelente recuerdo de los 90s

yo tenía ese festival grabado en un vhs siempre me a encantado cathy dennis en ese vídeo la entrevista Raúl velasco y cuenta una anécdota de cuando cathy llega a acapulco y va al baby'O y no la dejan entrar por ese tipo de ropa que llevaba pues según ellos no estaba vestida apropiadamente al tiempo muchas copiaron ese estilo militar de bota y body como las de caló
Si lo recuerdo, yo lo tenia en Beta y la presentación comienza con “Too many walls”.
Después de esa presentación compré el casette y termino por gustarme la mayoría de las rolas.

But despite that, audience were really excited. Just TV didn’t show it very well and audio focused only in music so crowd yell was inaudible

NECKBRACEGUY This was the first international acapulco festival so the problem i supossed was that after Ms Dennis presentation came out to stage estefania de Monaco, that time she used to named Stephanie so the people was expecting that performance, i´m totally agree with u the crowd was lame i really enjoyed this presentation , she opened with too many walls then just another dream and touch me , she sang three hits, her music sounded everywhere here in Mexico.

Oh YES. Cathy Dennis can truly sing. She is singing to a track on this video as a matter of fact. Pay attention to the video and you will see. This lady is sexy, beautiful, a HUGE song writing talent, a record company mogul, one of the best pop singers of her generation, an unbelievable dancer, and, well, CATHY DENNIS!
ok she is not singing on this show - you can tell - im sure she can sing but I have the cd and vinyl - she sounds to perfect and her lips do not match -she pulls the microphone away from her mouth too soon - now im not hating on her I love her but this is a lip service performance -
The sound track it not synchronized to the video at all. Most likely screwed up during encoding. I've had that problem myself sometimes when copying a VHS to digital. None of this singing is live. It's identical to the recorded version, note for note. Nobody's THAT perfect. At the end when she repeats 'Touch me' it's at a different level then the singing.
Swell performance. Lame audience. Mg palakdulon.
