Not gonna lie, I liked the way they incorporate all of DC's characters, both obscure and prevalent. Yo, we get Black Lightning AND Static in the same show. I swear y'all are gonna love this
It's the show's greatest strength since all the DC fans can really get a kick out of the characters but its also one of it's greatest weaknesses cause it assumes you already know the basic backstories of most of them.
The issue isn't that they didn't tell M'Gann, it's that she goes around liquefying minds with no precaution or remorse. She's been doing it for so long that she's used to lethal force and is completely self-assured that it is ok because it's the "bad guys." She was bound to use it on someone who would make her regret that, and it was bound to unravel her confidence in her ability. Now she's incredibly well-versed in a move she's finally realized is too risky to do willy nilly, and lost her confidence because she doesn't know the whole story of every enemy she's fighting. She's afraid of making that mistake again, and is now worse off for it because she couldn't show some hero restraint and just used non-lethal force like literally everyone else.
Lol Megan frying Aqualad is a prime example of why 1) one should not play judge , jury and executioner and 2) the death penalty in general is flawed. Because sometimes you get it wrong.

You have every reason to believe that person will shoot you so you can shoot them first. From Ms Martian's perspective she just came face to face with a guy who has not only betrayed her team, but killed one of her friends, and nearly killed the rest of her team AND destroyed her home with a giant bomb, not to mention destroyed a NASA shuttle and killed other people. She had no reason at all to think that Caldur was not an immediate lethal threat. If she did not have super powers she would have been justified in putting a bullet through his brain. Besides, what do you think was going to happen if Ms Martian did nothing? Caldur would have had to keep up his act and attack them, leaving Ms Martian no choice but to act in self defense anyway. You can't really put the blame on anybody for this happening. There are valid arguments on all sides for Nightwing and them not telling the whole team about the undercover operation, or for telling the whole team. There is also plenty of valid reasons on both sides for Ms Martian to use her powers to get information even if it frys the "victim's" brain (especially if it is alien invaders) or not. Personally I don't see anything wrong with frying an alien invaders brain to get information. And I don't see anything wrong with doing it in self defense either. I would however draw the line at frying a human's brain for info if they are no immediate threat to you. What happened here was nothing more than an unfortunate event. Nobody is at fault. Sometimes, hell most times, even if you do everything right, things still go wrong. It is just a truth of life.

We don’t get Icon, Rocket, Static & the milestone universe till 93.

Dude megan has a whole bunch of ways to fight and disable pple. She has a whole slew of powers on top of five years of training and experience. Robin in season 1 had the same five years, except no powers and no friends with which to consult and grow with. But instead of growing her technique and stuff, of leaning how to fight hand to hand and use weapons and use her powers in creative ways, she took one look at an ultimate killshot move and used it everywhere. This time, she used it on aqualad, whom she know, and which she therefore regrets. That does not mean she did not do it to an innocent person before. There is a reason we have laws and trials and multiple people on a jury. And it’s not like she did not know it, conner confronted her about it, broke up with her for it. And you can’t argue that nightwing and co should have told her, if they had she would have fought different, or been captured or something. The light is good at getting secrets, they already hot her skin color out of her. The less people who know, the better. The less people who know, the less people who can blow their cover. She did not need to know, she was not involved in the op, she did not do any infiltration or coordination like artemis aqualad and nightwing, and she is a grown woman with five years of experience on a team that mainly does black ops, she should know the importance of secrets and containment of knowledge.

Dude megan has a whole bunch of ways to fight and disable pple. She has a whole slew of powers on top of five years of training and experience. Robin in season 1 had the same five years, except no powers and no friends with which to consult and grow with.
But instead of growing her technique and stuff, of leaning how to fight hand to hand and use weapons and use her powers in creative ways, she took one look at an ultimate killshot move and used it everywhere.
This time, she used it on aqualad, whom she know, and which she therefore regrets. That does not mean she did not do it to an innocent person before. There is a reason we have laws and trials and multiple people on a jury.
And it’s not like she did not know it, conner confronted her about it, broke up with her for it.
And you can’t argue that nightwing and co should have told her, if they had she would have fought different, or been captured or something.
The light is good at getting secrets, they already hot her skin color out of her.
The less people who know, the better. The less people who know, the less people who can blow their cover.
She did not need to know, she was not involved in the op, she did not do any infiltration or coordination like artemis aqualad and nightwing, and she is a grown woman with five years of experience on a team that mainly does black ops, she should know the importance of secrets and containment of knowledge.
