Whats your opinion on hack and squirt during winter (dormant season)? I get lots of mixed information on that. Some people recommend stopping hack and squirt when the leaves change color in fall, and some people recommend the treatment until late winter/early spring.
Depends on the location you’re at. Species you’re targeting, and herbicide you’re using. The Harper mix is a great mix and outside of spring greenup is very effective
Yup, I'm in the western Missouri Ozarks. Lots of hickory and some oaks being eliminated. Most other species are just being left untreated for stump sprouts. Harper cocktail is what I use with the exception of Tordon on some trees that I cut down completely.
Will this herbicide and method work on pine trees?
Yes!
Great video! and information. Is Arsenal 20:80 to use ok?
We use the this mixture:
Triclopyr (Garlon 3A) 50%
Water 40%
Imazapyr (Arsenal AC) 10%
Mixed in that order
