My parents took me to Blackpool over forty years ago. I went back about seventeen years ago. It hadn’t changed. It’s sad that it costs less to fly abroad than have a week in the U.K. Blackpool suffers.

Blackpool was so much part of my youth coming up for a few nights during the lights at one of the many side street terraced hotels with my parents.Then later a daytrip with mates and girls on the coach.Last time I was there was 1998 and sadly it seemed a bit run down and the crowds were gone. I guess ultimately times have moved on a bit but the pleasure beach was still magic.
Me and the Mrs were at Blackpool last weekend. Had a great time. You walked past the hotel we stayed at. Hopton Hotel. Superb. Love your video's wish we had met you on our visit

Thanks Jay. I used the DJI wireless mic for my Oslo Pocket here. For the fireworks livestream I used a Shure MV-88 with a dead cat. Both mics worked extremely well.

It looks like Storm Babet has been very kind to Blackpool. By not causing any harm or distruction to any buildings. I'm from near barry island in Wales my brother is in Rotherham I'm originally from there we are coming over in June and September 2024 2 separate weeks we used to live there I think blackpool is still number 1 for a holiday who needs greek islands eh lol 😅 I subscribe and like your channel thanks for all the hard work I only wish they wouldn't have removed the old star wars game from North pier that was my favourite game ever 😅
Luckily Blackpool avoided the storm for the most part, just a shame the rain started part way into the fireworks, but even then it wasn't torrential rain.
That sea front is complete symbolism overload.. The sea front appears to be the only place the council invest any money & time into in Blackpool. The Tourists get the benefits of Blackpool Council and the the Residents get nothing by comparison.
All those bricks lying might inspire the rooftop guy to have another stand off with the police. Those lightpool structures are going to have the feral kids out in force for a climb on them.
THAT, is a device for catching farts; it was erected by a team of Fartologists from Cambridge University who are engaged in a 10 year study into farts.

In the mid nineties I lived a couple of doors from the lifeboat arcade and used to lose more than I won many many times but it was a great arcade

Manchester has been horrendous.
We had a lot of rain in the morning, but no amber warning like in Manchester.
Whitby getting a hammering , very bad there ...
Was bad in manchester 40mph winds constant rain too
Luckily Blackpool avoided the storm for the most part, just a shame the rain started part way into the fireworks, but even then it wasn't torrential rain.
It turned quite soggy, but at least it allowed amazing reflections for the Illuminations.
Normal for this time of year don't no what the fuss is !
