Alina Gingertail is a one-woman orchestra. I think one of the wildest videos of this type that I’ve seen is her cover of the theme to “The Mandalorian,” where she plays (among other things) a bouzouki, a Fisher Price toy xylophone, what I *think* is a hammer dulcimer, and a seashell.
There is definitely an allurement to her voice in this piece. It might lack the hard edge of drumbeats but here it shows you don’t need it. Haha I think her and Dan Vasc are in second place for me, two different sides of the same coin.
Liked this one musically, but I agree - it feels more like a farewell song (sending the warriors of for battle or siging over their dead bodies, sending their souls to valhalla) than like a battle song. So it depends on occasion, apparently, which one to prefer.
I'm going through and listening to all the various versions you all have in the "battle of the bands" on this song. Have to agree with many of the commenters on this one: doesn't have the right feel; missing the masculine energy needed to motivate warriors.
You are coming from a place that honors traditional roles for men and women and it is a real thing. She’s amazing but I don’t see Viking . I see nightwish or evanescence . Which is a compliment in my mind.

Excellent! I think this is my favorite version so far.
You should react to more of hers covers
I enjoyed this version. BTW Adam Chance does the jaw harp, Adam Rupp does the harmonica impression.
came to say this.
She always has one of her cats in her videos.
See this one makes me want to cry... I don't want to cry. Thanks guys!

This is good from the female perspective as Jersey mentioned, but still gotta go with Dan Vasc!
Cats are in every vid she makes it's her thing....
Good reaction. I still prefer Dan Vasc.
The pace was more dirge like it was mournful it was like she was singing the souls onto Valhalla.
She is in far eastern Russia and only speaks partial English, extremely talented....😊
That's good info
This version is ok, but still Love Dan Vasc version

Definitely a different feel to it, but still a nice version.
Alina gingertail best cover from Eluveitie 😂

This was 'nice'. So far Dan Vasc's version.

Sorry but nothing beats Saltatio Mortis or Dan Vasc version . That song just isn’t made for a woman’s voice it doesn’t sound right at all .
Nope sorry ...Dan Vasc version all the way.
🤡🤡🤡
Not bad but stick with voice play version 4 out of 10 ale horns
