As I sit here literally in awe, tears streaming, I was praying prior to watching this message, and my prayer was about Simon Peter. I told God just show me where to go, what to do, where to cast my net. Then I hit play. I’m facing the darkest place I have ever faced but praising God for using my dumb decisions to pivot me into His purpose. Thank you for preaching His truth. Use me Father for your purpose, for your Kingdom. Use my boat
Don't be so hard on yourself. God doesn't ever want us to be so self-judging, in the same way He doesn't want us judging others. I learned through a 12 step program at my home church that when we are in the dark, we will do things out of darkness. Of COURSE God will turn His back for a minute, because sin and God do not coexist, but He is still with You, loving You, and ready to catch you. He does not put any shame and blame for Your past, present, and future sins. We just have to learn to trust Him with every consequence of sin (whether its our sin or another who put that there.) Sometimes the logs in our eyes weren't even our logs to begin with, but we can be responsible for OURSELVES, and be the change we want to see in the world. Amen!

But that's what makes it. So awesome. I have seen the dark. I have lived in the dark. That's where I was my best. I didn't want to come to the light. But what I've realized over the last couple days listening this man sermon. Is this even in the dark? I was in the light. Cool, is that I had no idea what this meant then. But even in the darkest of dark looking back I was in the light. And also what I've learned is there is no dark. And how cool is it to learn lessons from God? That question my faith quite a bit. He got your back.

God is unapproachable and not understandable and all interaction with men comes via Jesus his only fully fit representative, the perfect High Priest Melchizedek. Romans 11 : 33 - 36 O the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How His decisions are beyond the mind of man to trace! How mysterious are His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or, who has become His counselor? Who has first given anything to Him, so that he is due any repayment from God? For all things come from Him, and exist through Him, and end in Him. In Him be glory for ever! Amen.

I have been wondering "Why me" a lot lately. I have been through so much in my life but Jesus pursued me through it all. I am coming to see that God wants to use me for his glory. Lord I want to obedient and follow you. Your will be done in Jesus name Amen.

Ive never felt so uncertain in my life before. All that i knew, all that i was going to is all gone. Everything is upside down. Even though i don't feel God sometimes, even though its hard to believe thaf God would ever use an average commoner like myself to bring glory to his name. All i say that may his purpoese for my life prevail. I trust that all the steps i take, the decisions i make, the words i utter are part of God's plan. Needed this today and by no accident it comes at a time when I’m praying for direction and willing to step into whatever he asks. He gave me this boat... he steers this boat and when storms come he gives me the faith to believe I won’t get taken out. Trusting through the storm of an MRI for my boy and believing that whatever happens He will receive ALL THE GLORY. Because he IS IN THIS BOAT ❤️

I love ur interpretation of the word of god. Like you said other preachers talk about how peter was bold but you humble peter and yourself under god and that is one of the main reasons I’d love to see you preach live. I feel like over a video doesn’t have the same feeling as in person but I love what you’re doing and what the church itself is doing keep going amen brother!

Awesome, awesome Word. Consider this as well - Simon was a fisherman. He'd just come in from fishing all night and catching nothing. This was the end of his work day, and that's about the worst day at work a fisherman can have aside from getting caught in a storm and the boat sinking. How many times have we had a bad day at work, maybe on the day we have mid-week service, and had the attitude that "Well, God's not going to work through me at church tonight because I lost my temper with this person at the office," or, "Well, I'm sorry Lord, I let the devil win this one," and we come into the House of Worship with a defeated, self-pity attitude and we don't let God work through us because we can't see that He can use exactly what we went through today for His glory.

Pastor Steven Furtick, a friend of mine introduced me to one of your motivational excerpts about 5yrs ago. I’m a 6’5” & 280lbs gentle (most of the time) Giant that has worked with my hands all my life. I had my 1st back surgery 4/19/16 & have had several more including my neck and knee. I Thank God that HE “LITERALLY” spoke to me on July 7, 2012 and I haven’t had an alcoholic drink since! I didn’t believe HE still spoke audibly, but you can’t convince this country boy otherwise!!!That was a day of transformation for me! So, from my 1st Surgery and to this day, I’m physically unemployable. I’m Praising God that He answered our prayers and the SSDI Appeals Council in VA sent my case back to LA to be reheard. I’ve got amazing Parents that have helped out financially since my wife of 17-1/2 years, divorced me in 2017. I’ve listened to 50+hrs of your messages I’m 2019 alone! I Thank God for you accepting His calling on your life because it’s helped me get through some rough, dark and scary times!
