Bro, I actually box for fun in real life, and this nonsense made me not even want to play anymore. Please, fix this madness!
Ive been boxing for a few years now and its not fair if im landing abt 50 punches a rd and still losing. Ive put too much energy for stupid flaws in this game. Also the gloves i feel like are too small. Imma take a long break from this game.
hopefully you dont fully give up on the game devs are working hard to fix the bugs and theres currently a new damage system in dummy and custom matches thats based on velocity, unlike the current damage system in ranked where if you get the perfect form, you could easily do crazy damage and it could be the slowest punch ever. Theres also going to be new counterplay mechanics like the one thats already out, the counterpunch to counter spammers or people who just flail their arms out in your face. So my point is this game has a lot of potential and the dev team is working hard to fix the bugs and work on better systems. (I got this knowledge from boxing fanatico)

Bro after the first day of playing this game I woke up hurting in muscles I didn’t even know were there. Shoulder tricep area was sore as hell. I’m good now, I Just try and stretch my arms out before each fight

I think the closer you are to your opponent and the speed of your punch hits while your close it considers it a harder hit but I'm unsure and haven't tested this
just bought the game after playing totf1 and my first matches was a dude who was like 6'5 mind you im 5'6 and he just kept spamming 100 blows a second so i disconnect, second match i fought a guy who was like 4'1 and only threw insane right hooks that would knock me out in 2 hits, don't really wanna play anymore
i box irl and i’m pretty decent. he hit me maybe 6 times in the round, not even great hits, otherwise i slipped them all like beautifully, it was magnificent the way my head just dodged his punches, and then it said he had a 10/10 that round. did not make sense at all especially because i put real effort into mu punches
they initially implemented this to counter arm flailing spammers, but the problem like you showed happens too often so they rolled it back. Honestly, I don't even care about arm flailing spammers. 1) game can pretty reliably detect arm only spammers, the trajectory of each punch is very different from a proper hook 2) the bending at the wrist is a lot more as they flailing around 3) the knuckle side of the fist doesn't face the opponent for most of the trajectory. while a proper hook the knuckle smoothly transition to contact opponent's face, with wrist straight most of the way. cuz when opponent gets really close I do left right, left right hooks in quick succession, but each is a proper hook with hip rotation. Those should not be punished. At time of your recording, the game punishes fast left right left right punches, and those that do that take a lot more dmg from less frequent punchers compare to themselves. This obviously can create a lot of mistakes and just faster fighters gets punished. They do less dmg, and take a lot more dmg (higher multiplier), especially against straights that is more reliable in registration in the first place.
I love it when i am fighting a super short person and they take so many shots to the head but when they hit me in the body or face it takes 4 shots and im down and then after that the people decide to flex on me and then run around while nocking me out ...
You can clearly see he was already dazed before the KO. The new damahe update makes KO punches easier, where as pre dmg update, you could wail on a stunned opponent for an entire round and they wouldnt go down.
The key is to hit them with combos then when stunned start hitting em with bombs (hooks and uppercuts) then straights will sometimes knock em down, when they update damage and punch form I think it will be a lot more predictable on clean punches.
Throwing a lunging one-two. Make sure you propel your arm with back, hip, and shoulder when throwing a two tho. I usually get between 30-60 damage doing it like that. Takes a lot of stamina to do it tho

I'm not professional but on Fridays and some other days if i have the energy ill go over to the gym to do some boxing. I've done this for the past 4 years starting out for like the first year and a half it was almost every day i was taking it pretty seriously then things in life happened i couldn't attend as much as i wanted too. What I'm trying to say is i know how to throw a punch and i know what it takes to knock someone down so tell me why I'm going against some 4 foot dude throwing the slowest punches and absolutely no combos and they are stunning me but when i combo the fuck out of him right after slipping 20 of his punches in a row he is unfazed and then bang 1 hit I'm stunned and one more I'm down? Early access we cant be mad but man is it annoying because i want to play i really do but i know exactly what's going to happen😂
I dont know how much power you are putting into your punches. That said, to me it seems pretty realistic, no one in this game is having their guards up or having head movement.. Everytime you got a KO your opponnent did NOT have their hands up.. It does not take much then to knock someone down. That said, ofc theres still some improvements.. Maybe not that much dmg etc.
This games Stat System is broken also.... This is why you're losing fights where you are landing more and with more power. The punch counter isnt synced with the scorecard system..
People have been praising the frequent updates on discord and reddit, but bro, no one in the software industry releases to public every other day even for an alpha. Devs should give the QA time to test the fixes/features ( ~a week ) and run regression tests, then roll it out. At this point they are just relying on public like QAs to test for them, which is annoying af. You are actually paying for this product because of the lack of QA in their team.

For the first couple days I had one knockdown and no knockouts. In the passed 3 days I’ve had like 15 knockdowns and 5 knockouts. I knocked a kid out 10 seconds into the match.
I just got the game with my friend right then he's like oh hit barely pinched him and knocked him out and then he did it to me but I can't even do it back not even a yellow thingy damage
Okay so one time I was having really good technique, beautiful combos the first around I had about 1200 DMG I keep getting knocked out by some kid dancing around like a ballerina hitting me with graceful punches, 2nd round I have about 1500 dmg, 3rd round 800 and I get TKO’d. MIND you I’m only hitting mostly in the head and body shots. Serving up combos. NOPE, they fixed the spam glitch, but I’m still getting put in the stretcher by kids with no technique.
Technically if you eat a jab and a straight without tucking your chin.... You gonna be in big trouble. That's why the average person should not step in a ring without headgear, let alone at all. But they may want to turn down the realism if they want to sell this game.

And let's break it down what happened, not sure how this isn't obvious.. he cracked you at 3:28, you woke up, turned it on and Lowkey cracked him with the shot that led to the knockdown at 3:35. After this you actually cracked him with a uppercut too, this is what they call accumulative damage irl. Once he was stunned you chased him down and did what fighters in real life do, finish him. You hit em wit a big right at 3:43 and dropped him. No different than things I've seen done irl. This is actually perfectly done and similar to a real life boxing scenario. Great work fr

Is it like a brand thing for you to call everyone a douche? Lol, I'm gonna hop on a match in a bit. But the damage is going to be a tough fix. They can't leave it like it is out of the box. You can move in slow motion and hit harder. Can't do full on TOTF1 because their would be extremely lopsided fights. It needs to be a combination of the 2. It's gonna take months of testing. Maybe in 3 months they'll have it figured out.
From what I'm seeing so far I would have to play more but this seems better cause you can actually catch someone as well as you have to be more defensive but it probably could be toned down a bit

Adapt to how people fight . I came across a brawler no tornado punches but throwing hooks. And I beat him. By tiring his ass out and taking him to the deep end . Half way thru the 2nd round he was just basically standing there to tired to even swing .

If the game thinks someone is floating higher than the canvas it multiplies damage on the floating person maybe its something to do with that

Dude what type of brawl have you been in? This game practically feels like I am fighting in my dreams lol, even if I wanted to “brawl” I couldn’t.
@@8bitmike361 nah it’ doesn’t . Use room scale movement if u can and adapt to people fighting style . There’s a difference between constant hooks and that tornado shit everyone talks about . Adapt to how people fight . I came across a brawler no tornado punches but throwing hooks. And I beat him. By tiring his ass out and taking him to the deep end . Half way thru the 2nd round he was just basically standing there to tired to even swing .
