As much as I dislike what ZERO ended up turning into and how it felt like it kept worsening in spite of having so much possibly going their way I will still forever appreciate the fact that without ZERO I would never have gotten back into the game, much less find my own pocket in the community and I could not imagine my life these past couple of years without the memories I've made and the people I've met because of it.

I had to stop playing since the first wave of G granblue coz I became really busy. SO, i basically didnt see it in the worst state and could enjoy it to the fullest. Andso from my perspective Vanguard Zero was a great experience. Breakride era was a blast. Zero gave me the opportunity to Enjoy vanguard once again. This feels really bad to see it end.
Atlest I am happy that the TCG is doing alot better. And we wont have to worry about vanguard dying anytime soon
*The community was nice. And yeah, Kris you made the entire experience alot better for me. I will still check your videos once in a while even though I will not play the tcg. Thanks for everything. Your channel will remain as memory for the game *

I was torn apart when I heard that VG Zero is ending. I fell off during G Era and played less compared to the break ride and legion era, but still what made me atleast play the game are the animations and voice over implemented to the game. I really am gonna miss this game, Thank you Vanguard Zero!

As someone who plays Zero more than the actual TCG these days, seeing it go really hurts. I've played almost every day for the past 3 years and I'll keep playing until the second the servers go down. I've reached at least Legend 10 in every ranked season, including 3 top 100's. I love this game (even if Game Studio is awful) and I don't know if any future game will hit me the same way this one did.

Zero gave me a chance I could never have because I could never play the original TCG with no locals nearby or funds for the decks. I loved the experience of seeing the start of VG from my favorite times like DOTE and Limit Breaks. The pack openings and rank grinds were fun with the collection of SP's. Glad to have achieved top 100 in JP before with the discovery of your channel and community. Will be missing this experience for sure :(

As much I fell out from playing Zero, I'm grateful it brought me back to Vanguard. Despite not really into TCG because doesn't have the investment money and time, just watching Chris and eventually catching up with the anime (S3 episode 6 right now) makes me really enjoy the small part of Vanguard.
Honestly I want to try Dear Days with the prospect of playing on PC and having similar support, quality and playability like Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, but it truns out like their last couple of games I really bump out. Oh well I hope and wish Bushiroad eventually (COPIUM) make a better Digital Card Game for Vanguard XD

Zero has been, quite honestly, everything to me over these past few years. I found this franchise only a handful of episodes into Season 1 of the anime and immediately fell in love. Leaving it behind around Legion because of having nobody to play with was profoundly saddening, but that's what made Zero so special. All those years I'd occasionally peek in to see what was happening, whether that be for G, CF Online, or the reboot, but now I could finally have it back. And not just that, but I would get to play against other people, AND even using the exact same cards I'd fell in love with the game with. As frustrating as it could be, especially in G era, it was my one tether back to this game I love so much. I played it every single day over these years, and having it severed now is genuinely heartbreaking. I don't have the money, time, or patience to play the physical game, and to be honest with you, I don't really like any format. I think V is overly complicated, I think it's ugly, and just generally not fun. As for OverDress, well... Dear Days is expensive as all hell, and without Clans (my favorite part of the franchise) they have no obligation to ever give me the type of cards I enjoy again. Screw the pain of them never giving me Gaia, with Zero dying I honestly feel I'm losing Vanguard as a whole all over again. And I can't imagine I'm the only one. The icing on the cake is that it'll all just disappear, too. They could easily push out a final update that just disables online but still lets you play against bots and see your collection, or one that still allows local cardfights on the same wi-fi network, or even one that turns it into a gallery so you could still see all the art (like Pokémon Duel), but no, of course not. Everything this game was, everything it did, washed away like tears in rain. I'll still pray to someday get a true, ongoing client for Vanguard, because I still think it's what the franchise really needs. But even if you're right and it never happens, Vanguard Zero will occupy my mind as the one time in my life I got to truly enjoy this game I love so much to the fullest. It gave me so much, and I'll always be thankful for this time it let us all share.

I actually played Zero from the very beginning up to around the start of Limit Break era because I was about to start university. While my experience with the game is short-lived, I’ll forever be thankful for what it has done for the TCG itself. It brought players like me back into the game, as well as bring in new people. After Zero, I bought a couple of singles for my Shadow Paladin deck online. Despite never actually finishing the deck I wanted to complete today, it brought back a lot of memories that I had with Vanguard around 7 years ago.
My nearest locals is around 20 minutes away from me. I can drive now but the car I drive is not mine. I can take a bus but the commute is way too inefficient from my place. While there are remote fights, I’m not the most comfortable playing it at home with the rest of my family there. That’s what Vanguard Zero helped me with.
Time is precious, and I don’t have a lot of it to commit to the TCG itself. Admittedly, I pop into your channel only a couple of times a month since I stopped purchasing singles. And when I do, it’s like I never left. You, and the community, are the reason why I still keep up with the TCG. We have all grown together in the past 3 years. Look at ourselves from the time Zero started versus now. We’ve come a very long way whether it’s in the TCG or in our own lives. I can drive. I got a part-time job. I’m more than halfway done with university. Kris, you’re in Japan studying for your PhD now. Vanguard introduced the Overdress era too. We’ve all had big changes in our lives in the last 3 years. Again, we’ve come a long way since the beginning of Vanguard Zero. And while this isn’t the way we wanted the game to end, we’ll always treasure the memories we’ve had with it.
    Thanks for the video Kris!

I feel sad for this, while I'm not mainly a Vanguard player I was an avid fan of the anime and the simplicity of the early days of Vanguard.
Zero was basically a way for me to play Vanguard as close to how the anime was because of the limited card pool and basically made me wish for something similar for Yugioh.
After seeing how Konami handled their own limited old school format I can see why Zero went through alot of troubles and I am sad that it basically killed off the game

Zero brought me back to the physical game ever since the link joker era, and ever so crucially at a point of time in my life where I needed some light and motivation. I will forever be grateful for its existence and what it gave me.
Personally, I really hope that a vanguard sim similar to zero will come out some time in the future, I think it’s one of the best ways to introduce someone to the game given how convenient it is.

It hurts to see something I loved so dearly at the start, and something which has become a integral part of my daily life for the past 3 years, logging in everyday since day 1, to end so abruptly and in such a dumpster fire sort of fashion. I still remember staying up the entire night when it first released cause I was so excited to play it, that even though I had a meet up with friends the next morning, I just powered through the night playing it non-stop. I used to sink so many hours into the game and did so willingly and enjoyed myself.
Like DF said though, the biggest dropping point to me was the start of G and how greedy it got. I too, never got to properly play the TCG back in the OG era and even during G because I couldn't afford to build proper decks. I got to do that to a large extent in the pre-G era of VGZ. So, yea the way that was robbed from f2p players was just a spit in the face, really. There was a lot to like and, over time, a lot more to hate, but I will never forget VGZ. It was a massive part of my life. RIP VGZ, you deserved so much better.
On a more related and positive note though, I was always super grateful for how great of a general resource DF's channel was for vgz players, with deck and fights for basically every deck that released. Seeing how I should build my decks, seeing what was good to play etc. I tuned in religiously to the pack opening streams for the good times and then tuned in to the channel later when I was curious how to build certain decks after doing my own pulls. Those were truly great times, made possible by DF's personality and charisma on streams and the ever hyper chat. From chair-kun, to rainbow boss for rainbow cards, chariot simping to insane pulls, we truly had it all.

When I saw the announcement for end of service my heart sank. While I wasn’t as invested in the game as I was before I always held on hope that it could improve and have a future. I have a lot of good memories with this game. I got into the tcg in a way I could only dream about when I was younger. I’ve meant friends that I’ll talk to long after this game ends. I’m going to see this through till the end but I’ll always remember what Zero has done for me and my Cardfighting experience.

Honestly, as much as I prepared for this day to come since nothing lasts long, getting the news for EoS still struck deep. Zero gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people that eventually became good friends that I currently spend a good amount of time with. Zero even gave me the opportunity to make something out of myself for I somehow became a moderator for a small community that sprung from Zero. Being able to join tournaments is something I was thankful for Zero existing since I never had the guts to actually go out and join in person events. Overall I'll miss Zero once the 2 months end but until then I'll play as much as I can even if its a pointless endeavor at this point

The effort you put into content and community is honestly respectful and I appreciate it, as many others do. Vanguard Zero for me was a way to go back to the beginning and use the cards I played with my friends while I was in college, it was nostalgic.
During the pandemic and working from home I was able to watch the Tuesday streams and I would spend all morning eagerly awaiting what announcements we would get, I also had much more free time to play.
I can't remember when I stopped playing the first time, but I all of a sudden didn't have the time to play anymore with work and education taking my time, but I enjoyed the game vicariously through your streams and videos.
I came back at the start of G for Gear Chronicle, but the time and money was a bit too much of an investment for me to make the decks and play the matches, even still, sad to see the game go so soon.

At one point I loved the game because it awakenwd something in my childhood and watching the anime. And then the things I did, I had so much fun. But then when I came back I believe last year on November I saw how grindy and not that fun it was anymore for me. I gave up and now seeing it get shut down, I feel...sad but also angry. Now I play pvz heroes, it may not get huge updates but the game is much more fun and much less demanding than vg0. I wish there was a f2p vg game after this, I love vg

The game was going really solid for 2 whole years. But then they let greed take over and knee cap the game's economy with the G Update. Don't know who to blame that on Game Studio or Bushiroad since its quite bizarre how quickly the game lost its F2P identity after maintaining it for 2 whole years.

As a f2p the 5k red orb is very rough, I've been trying to build a Harry deck since he was released and I still need to fill up my G zone, farming character fights to get creation stones to convert into red orbs gives you almost nothing. After farming so much, I won't get to finish the deck since the game is ending, so it kinda stings.
I think the devs should make everything available since at least we should be able to play whatever we want in the last month.

I played vg 0 since its beta in Singapore. I remember the day when its release me and my friends downloaded to play tgt the game. Some of us played good-stuff kagero to legend while another played on hard mode and used Alfred to legend. While the game was super dice roll back in those days, every match felt super close and intense. Things such as miracle or double miracle heal, double crit for game etc. I had a blast playing the game with my friends and waiting for future sets to drop. We each discussed about what clan we were saving for and what to build. Fast forward to the release of mlb and dote and we were playing literally whenever we were free, grinding for the crystals and playing our favourite deck. Game was super f2p friendly if we just focused on 2 clans. All of us played different clans and resulted in us having diverse match-ups between different clans and decks. We were super hype for the release of new sets. Game had a lot of skill expression as a small mistake could lead to a loss. Back in those days I would constantly watch every single one of your vg0 content. I remember when you brought dote to your first 0 tournament and lost due to a misplay. You woke up early and vlogged the whole process. Both English and Jp [used to call it jap but rmbr when chat told me it was rude] had their own tournaments and there was so many participants. I miss those days. Days where I could play with my friends before class, during break or after class vg0. Not all of us could invest money into irl decks as such vg0 was a godsend. I miss how despite how tired or packed my schedule was I could load up vg0 on my phone and squeeze in a few games of 0 whenever I wanted to. I was able to play vg literally whenever I wanted. Vg 0 developed many flaws along the way, but in all honesty, I love the game. I also want to thank you DF for the constant content for vg0. You helped make vanguard explode in popularity both in the tcg and in vg0. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for inducing the passion in me and my friends to play vanguard. Thank you for making me love vanguard over and over again.

I have a very weird relation with ZERO. As you know, I'm from Brazil where the game is basically inaccessible, so when it came out I could finally play it whenever I wanted and all of thta jazz. The first months of ZERO were probably some of the most fun I have ever had. It was really awesome, and I really do remember the hype when LB and LJ eras came out, such good times.
But as you said G was a turnaroun in not a cool way. I dropped the game shotrly after it. I went back and played a bit when Luard first released, but shortly after the magic was gone again.
The game closing is really sad, but it already was kinda dead to me anyway so I am not grieving too much. What makes me truly sad tho is the lack of a good "entry product" for new players to try the game out without the need of spending.
I really hope we see a partnership with cygames at some point, bevause Vanguard does have an yet unexplored potential with an actual decent simulator.
Thank you for your years of work with Zero bro, even when I wasnt playing I'd watch your vids on decks and opening packs, just because you make it so much fun.

Your channel is what helped me get into Vanguard Zero back in March 2020, a card game I haven't even heard about before. I ended up switching over from DL which at that point started to bore me, slowly got my footing, built Tsukuyomi after watching some of your videos on the early decks (still my favourite deck/gameplay experience by far!) and found a huge community. Through all of this I met a lot of people I hold dear, some of whom who quit a long time ago (like Ks) and some who still struggle around with me, became a team leader of a bigger team in Global, became a Twitch channel member and had loads of fun moments both with the boys and with the game.
With the game ending and there not even being a hint of a TCG community nearby as well as Dear Days being what it is I guess that for me the time with Vanguard will be coming to a close soon. Despite its flaws and its untimely demise I can't be angry about the people who made (and killed) the game since it gave me so many great memories over all the years. So many connections that I don't want to miss. So many hilarious moments. So many things I hope I will still remember in a few years.
Thank you lots, Kris, for all you did for us in these three years, both for Zero as well as the TCG!

When I heard the news, I was shaken by it. Although I wasn't really playing it anymore at first, now I'm playing the game again until it shuts down. I know what it became isn't great, but I can still make more great memories with this game while I still have the chance. I didn't realize just how much I still care about Vanguard until I saw the end of service announcement.
On a related note, it sounds like the main channel is backing up the content from the game for the most part so I'm glad to hear that.
I hope to see Vanguard continue to grow even without Vanguard Zero. I'll miss it, but admittedly, I have sort of moved on. I'll always love Vanguard and come back to it. However, I'm not as attached to playing the game itself, just the characters, the story, etc. Overdress didn't pull me in so I'll watch from the sidelines until the Vanguard anime catches my interest again.

I feel this will be a long comment so I apologize in advance.
First, I wanted to thank you so much DF for the videos you have posted. The videos you have made, has made VGZ fun and easier to play. I didn't understand the game as I never played the TCG in real life but loved the anime from day 1. I have learned so much from watching all your deck and fights and had a few laughs along the way. You taught me how to strategize and use the cards you have in your hands properly and not swing vanilla everywhere; thank you for that. I also love to see what decks I could play and test out and loved that VGZ allowed me to test out so many deck. So all your videos, from the pack openings, the tier list and deck and fights were all helpful. I loved that we had a basis of how some decks worked before using them. To add more to this, the commentary you did with wcc Kai was enjoyable to watch. I never thought that I would spent an hour or 3 hour watching competitive VGZ content, but I did; because you and WCC Kai made it the most enjoyable thing ever and I am forever grateful for it.(BEST MCS EVER!! :P) It is sad to see VGZ go as it allowed me to finally pick up the TCG and play both the Standard and V format, as well as play with the amazing friends I have now. So I am forever grateful for the game and it's hard to let it go, but as you said no regrets. Just wish we can keep all the cool jpeg for the special art cards or something.
I will continue to support and watch or rewatch your content, as they were the best and most enjoyable, You have an amazing personality and made the video fun to watch. So once again DF thank you so much for your hard work and streaming, they were amazing. I am grateful for Vanguard Zero and for you as well. THANK YOU!!.

In all honesty, I loved playing zero pre G-era. It was so fun grinding rank and playing with a clan that I've always wanted to play in the TCG but couldn't afford to do so. Looking back then, building both my dream clans (BMT & PM) and playing with them was the best time I've had with the Vanguard IP. I quitted during the second BMT wave during the G-era because of the lack of gacha rewards, which was sad to say. Overall, Zero was really fun and it was my gateway to playing my favorite clan but the lack of generic packs during the G-era was the one that tipped me over the edge.

I got into Vanguard during COVID and around IF ending/Overdress starting so I missed out on all the old school stuff. Having ZERO gave me a chance to play the older sets and learn a bit about the card game before going to locals once things started opening up. I also met a lot of people that played vanguard in my country. Till Legion, I was enjoying the game and also your streams I tuned in every 1st day of the month and the feeling of hype and nostalgia. In addition, your deck and fight was the best as a reference in building decks which I binged watch if I missed out. It's incredibly bittersweet to see this game go. I've been with the physical game since it launched in the west 10 years ago. I remember having so much fun with it, and I also remember the hype for this game and what it could be. I also remember waiting on discord with my group of friends as we kept checking to see if we were able to install the game yet. I think we all dropped it, but we still enjoyed the game for what it was and, while it was different from what we all wanted, we all had some points we loved about it. I love this franchise, there are some things I would really wish they would fix, but I love this franchise and wish it the best as I look forward to my favorite parts of it. Will I play it again in the coming months? I don't know...but I won't forget the things that came of it, good and bad

First of all I want to say thank you for this video, and in general all the content you have made on Zero. You don't know how much it means to me, that my name is on your first Zero G deck and fight, Gear Chronicle. My two most favourite units of all time from the physical game are Chronojet Dragon and Chronodragon Nextage and knowning that as long as your channel is still here, I will always be able to watch Zero content with those exact cards, warms my heart.
Second the time I stopped playing Vanguard Zero was the release of Moonlight Dragonfang, so I can't say much for the G era, but the rest of the game really was a blast to me. I have been in that same exact situation of not being able to sleep the day before a new set would release, purely from exictment of what I was gonna get and what decks I should try and build. Laying in bed, making the calculation of how many RRR I could craft with my sparse crafting material, debating whether or not I should try and reach Legend 10, 20 or 30 this season. All these memories I will never forget. And I don't regret anything.
    Thank you all for everything.

I was free to play since the release. I even played the japanese version when it released because at the time there was no announcement for an english release. The game mechanic was unique but annoying, not being able to guard was a bit of a problem, but it wasn't that big of a deal for me because I use Kagero and Narukami so getting rid of the intercepts was easy. The game basically made me remember another vanguard game that wasn't official by the name of cf-area (cardfight-area). That game still has a player base the last time I checked around 3 months ago and has all the cards from season 1 to v-series and even overdress. That game was more of a simulator than zero but in the defense of zero, it's a mobile game while cf-area was a desktop game. So there was more that can be done in cf-area's case. Zero just basically filled the void that was left when I stopped playing the physical tcg and the fact it was a mobile app made it better and more accessible. When they announced that they were shutting the servers down, I made the hard decision to uninstall the game because it felt that I would be wasting my time playing a game that's about to shutdown. I still played zero a lot but stopped around the limit break era because of the feeling that the game was starting to become play to win but then I came back and had to start from scratch during the break ride era. It was a good 2 years of playing and reminded me of how fun playing vanguard was

Sorry if I keep commenting but as someone who had been playing since day one, it just feels so rough knowing that this could have been avoided if they had kept going like they initially did.
I have said it before but to me its genuinely shocking just how many bad steps they took in one mere update to the game. Any positives G brought got massively overshadowed by so much negative it brought.
    GRs costing 5k
GR mats not being able to be farmed outside of opening packs. Atleast other crafting mats could be farmed. This one hurt the most imo.
The new pack per each set basically killed any hope for stocking up resources for the clans you wanna play because now they cut the resources you can save up in half.
No real increase in gems for VP rewards while the my room currency stuff was still given in plenty.
No rank reward GRs made it so that playing rank became less desirable because it would be easier to craft than to climb using subpar decks.
Events becoming exchange base was good but the cost to get the units especially GRs was ludicrous where you HAD to spend gems to get a full deck. Also didn't help that many event clans were either nerfed or underpowered on top of wack release schedules.
Character skins now give boosts during events..... But they are now paid and the new ones constantly replace the older ones. The one free skin we got aka Chrono, was only used for ONE event throughout the entirety of G.
The Duel Links type box system itself was a decent idea, but they messed up in execution. Our pack opening resources had already been cut in half but now every box had atleast 6 GRs out of 150 packs and you needed 2 copies of most of them for them to be playable.
Its just baffling just how much wrong they crammed into a single update and butchered a cash cow they could have kept going.

I got into Master Duel pretty much Feb of 2022, played it for a long time, and ended up loving it. However, I got the card game itch and wanted to try more card games. Mainly the digital ones. Fast forward to october of that year I tried Vanguard Zero which was basically my introduction to the series in general. I heard mention of it before, but never really looked into it til then.
Like hell, before even starting Zero I watched a video on how to plan and what clans I should go for since I'm F2P. My very first decks were Aqua force and Narukami. Despite Zero being the way it was I still had so much fun. I even started watching the anime too. Tis a bittersweet ending.

as someone who lost touch with Cardfight Vanguard during G Era and never had the luxury of playing the TCG Due to my country not selling it, Yugioh Pokemon Magic The Gathering were more populer, but when Cardfight Vanguard Zero, brought my love for the anime and the game back, it got me back into the anime with Cardfight vanguard reboot, also it introduced me to a lot of new people, You Outer Orange DJ Zura, Final Phase Gaming, and i found communities where i belonged
Now Cardfight Vanguard Zero did have its negativity, The Story being scripted at times, get unlucky with my draws, adding mechanics only to add new ways to get around said mechanics, Being Forced to pay money during G Era.crafting materials being hard to do especially the stride units.
with that being sad, whilst i am sad vanguard zero is ending, i'm happy i was introduced to the game and i am happy i met a lot of new people and friends.
I wonder if its possible to transfer our data from vanguard zero to Vanguard Dear Days
One final comment i really hope they make a console game with The OC Cards, G Era Cards V-era Cards Overdress cards, that would be pretty fun

I was obsessed with the original Vanguard anime when it was first coming out and ended up bouncing off the G anime after about 20 episodes. Back then I really wanted to play the game and I even bought a bunch of cards (I still have a tone of break ride era cards in a binder) but I was never able to find anyone to play with as the area I live in really only has a decent MTG community (which I was a part of). I played Zero from August 2021 until December 2021, so pretty much the Legion era, and it was great that I finally got to play Vanguard for once, if in a simplified and stripped down way. It was a great time to start since Seekers were so easy to build, I was able to save up gems to craft Revengers when RPBA came out and played that deck every day for like two months straight so I could have enough resources to have every good Legion deck save for Bermuda by the start of G. Just like the anime, I gave G a try in Zero and ended up quitting when I realized that I would never be able to make a decent deck without spending much more than I had, plus I was pretty broke at the time. Its sad that its gone, the copium that it might turn around or turn into an Overdress simulator has run out. I like following card game meta games even if I don't play them so that's why I'm still here and will remain but I'll still miss the Zero gameplay.

I joined a little late, it wasn't until the Coral season in LB era that I joined. G era had some rough times but I had a blast playing Zero. I've gotten so close on having every Aqua Deck max rarity (bar a few GRs). My last personal quest will be to get 1 of each the few Aqua Force GRs I hadn't got in SP before the games end.
My personal best was that I came 3rd in Chronojet Z season and that trophy is pride of place in my room, one feature I feel went under appreciated overall. I've also overhauled it with a bunch of the Aqua Force memorabilia, especially the Maelstrom Stained Glass Windows! as a shrine to my favourite clan. RIP Zero 💙

  • @dittoismetamon
    @dittoismetamon ปีที่แล้ว

I first learned about Vanguard during very early G era, but at the time my only interaction with the franchise was through watching the OG anime. It was really cool seeing all the iconic monsters during that era like Dragonic Overlord, Maelstrom, Chaos Breaker, all the reverses, break rides, legions, and so many more but because of how late I got into the series I never really got to experience those cards in their prime glory. It's actually thanks to Zero that I actually got into learning the cardgame and I'm forever grateful to the game because without it I otherwise wouldn't have been able to play the decks and mechanics I saw from the anime.
I ended up stopped playing the game at the start of the Legion era because even before all the G era changes, it was apparent to me that the company was getting more greedy with the game and making decks wouldn't be sustainable anymore. It just seemed so fishy that they out of nowhere stopped doing things like clan specific banners, sparking etc. The red flags were already apparent to me that far back so it's not so surprising to me that things somehow got even worse during G era.
Despite it all though, I'm still pretty sad to see the game go. I hope they can preserve the game somehow, either as a permanent videogame like Dear Days or maybe through irl products similar to Yugioh Speed Duels. My favorite thing about the game is that they were willing to buff cards that weren't too strong in the irl legacy TCG, like lowering Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion's counterblast cost for example. Dungaree Unlimited is actually my all time favorite Vanguard deck, even amongst the irl TCG decks, because they buffed it to give crit and it's retire effect was really strong with Zero's guarding mechanics. It's changes like this that makes it stand out from the numerous other formats the TCG has, so I really hope they can preserve the game somehow.

Zero was how I found your channel and between your content and Zero, I decided to pick up physical TCG right around D-BT05. I'm really going to miss Zero when it shuts down - it's how I roped friends in to trying and playing Vanguard with me, and I used to do Friend Fights with them to test out and learn new decks.
I do agree the game's been falling off - I used to get super hype about new set drops and spend money on packs/pulls every month and then I just stopped once we got into G Next and I started losing motivation to keep going in ranked. The last set I spent a lot on was for Demonic Advent - after starting the game with Aichi's Break Ride Liberators there was no way I was going to miss out on playing his G era deck! I really hope Bushi finds a way to reprint all of the ranked reward cards as physical cards - the artwork for them are so beautiful! Maybe more like hint hint Bushi, go retrain some more of these units for Standard so there's an excuse to reprint them with the Zero ranked reward art?

To me, the greatest strength of Vanguard Zero, at least before G, was it gave you the ability to play decks that you've never tried before. When I started the game, I was just waiting for the release of Aqua Force and I just played the game yet I never expected that Enigmans would end up to be one of my most sentimental decks. Same goes for Musketeers, Blaus, and DDDoTE.
It also allowed me to play decks that I've always wanted to play, especially Thavas. Thavas was the first deck where I bought 2 trial decks so I could get a complete set of the ace card and ever since then, I've always wished that I completed it. And because of Zero, I was able to experience the deck in all its glory.
Its sad to see Zero go in its current state since I've always believed that the game could've been what DF described it as in his DoTE orMLB deck and fight, "the best gacha card game out right now". But it ended up being wishful thinking. Nonetheless, thank you DF for providing top tier zero content for us who arent as good in the game as you. Its been a fun time o7

Thank you so much. I got into Vanguard a little before Zero came out, and I really appreciate your content. Your content guided me through all my excitement for everything Zero related, and it continues to hype me up for physical games.
I really appreciate you and your content, and I wish you the best!

Zero was my first introduction into vanguard and it made me love silverthorne and Messiah decks and it's sad to see it go

I'm so happy Zero released as it helped get me back into Vanguard after not playing for a few years. I'm also thankful for you and your content. I never got to experience the TCG when I was younger until I was in high school and even then all I had was the first Chronojet trial deck. With Zero and your content I was able to experience all these decks, whether by playing them myself or by watching your deck and fight videos. Thank you for your amazing Zero content over the years. I can't wait to see what future content you create once Zero finally ends.

I went through a terrible breakup when zero came out. So, I was dealing with that and the stress of the pandemic and I found out about Vanguard Zero. I basically binged all your content learning about the game and used my in game resources well, based on your recommendations. So, thanks for all the time and work you put into it. I don’t play anymore but I’m glad the algorithm brought me this video so that I could thank you and the Zero community for helping through a very difficult time in my life.

Zero have helped me to relive my old memories by playing the old cards and playing something that I couldnt in the past. And to play Vanguard even when I dont have the time to go to locals. I thank the game for that.
Zero might have ended but I wont stop watching your content. I do enjoy watching you talking and getting excited over new Standard releases even when I dont play the physical card again. Keep up the good work!
I do still keep my old cards btw just because I love them that much XD

Been awhile, i havent really kept up with Vanguard news since...well i quitted in Zero in the G era, since zero was also my introduction to vanguard but this vid suddenly popped up in my recommended and im actually quite shocked that it shut down this early, i had some really fun memories with the game and this prompted me to to buy some of my favorite Zero cards to physically collect the TCG version whether its a V or Overdress print just to relive nostalgia, like joining unofficial discord community hosted tournaments
Im not really interested in playing the TCG per se, because im not really comfortable in attending locals physically because of my schedule unlike zero where i just pick it up in my break or before i sleep at night but im definitely gonna keep up with the Overdress anime and as i said try to collect different rarities and prints of my favorite cards just to keep in touch with the franchise

I played zero coming from a pov of a guy who was a fan of thee anime but never had/or opportunity to plaay the tcg and just watched the anime, this game gave me the experience of a lifetime, It felt good entering the top 50 in global using gancelot zenith.
Zero introduced me how the game evolved throughout the years especially when I couldn't afford the tcg back then.
I love zero loud and clear
it made my pandemic life a little bit better day by day

Honestly after what happened with buddyfight i kinda fear any announcement about bushiroad cardgames incase it was them shutting down one of the other IPs

Although its probably not gonna happen I would love to see a Vanguard version of master duel or just any digital version of the game because no one at my locals plays vanguard

Dude, I remember working my butt off to hit Legend 30 or 40, saving up all the gems that I could, watching your Deck & Fight and tier list videos for upcoming sets to decide how I would plan my material grinding, and then I’d open the game on the minute of the new day/month rollover and start opening packs. It was like Christmas morning each month, especially if I liked the new decks that came out. I’ll miss the game, for sure.
