      the lowerend is basicly all the same. only the topend is much different.

    Tatro I very much enjoy your build vids. I would like to ask if the S&S EVO lifter kit is worth it over the Velvatouch kit that was made by crane back in the day? Thank You

      crane did not make those lifters. the s&s lifter converion kit uses stock evo lifters that you can get anywhere when you need a replacment. all the other kits use their own custom lifter that will be hard to come by when you need one. plus the evo lifter is bigger in design which will last longer with less wear in the lifter block. you also can use any evo cam so you have more choices on what you can use.

      being old and used does not make things bad. most of the time the old parts are better than the crap they sell you today as new and improved. once you fix all the problem these old motors are just about as good as the new viersions you by. most of my motors are better because of the way i build them. take your time and do things correctly and you will be happy.
