actually, what's wrong with the clutter? When you move out, you will bring all your items with you. A fresh coat of paint, new fixtures and a renovation will change the appearance for the new owner. what matters is the location and the asking price.

My question is, if I were the buyer, do I get to keep the move in condition when I get the keys to this unit? Or do I have to pay for the furnishings again ( because I would have paid once for the first impressions already) because all these furnishings will leave with the seller?

@@Olvlmathscience If nothing was mentioned during the negotiation phase; The industry norm will be Fixtures (eg: sink, doors, carpentry work, etc) stay and Fittings (eg: TV, sofa, fridge, etc) go. However, if any fitting(s) was agreed to be part of the offer, then the sale price should cover.
In short, it all depends on the agreed terms and conditions stated in the Option to Purchase.
Just an interesting fact, the owner in this episode is a property agent, likely representing herself as the seller.
First she is a property agent and would already know how to sell a house. Second, she trying to sell the house at a high resale price. Third, saw the awards she won? I am thinking she is making use of this program to sell the house at the highest cost while spending as little money to make it sell at a high price. The clutter is just an excuse.

Programmes like this prioritize viewership and income much more than so called helping people. Advertisement for the ID and also the property agent. The real underprivileged seldom get assistance from such programmes unless they can create a drama that people will want to see.
