  • Hey TH-camrs, here we are re-visiting the "All-new Chime Pro" from Ring to check out the different door chimes/ringtones available.
    This is an upgraded model from the previous version, with a new sleek design, which now features dual-band wifi (2.4 and now 5Ghz) and a built in nightlight which when activated in the app, automatically turns on when its gets dark.
    The "wi-fi extend" feature only applies to ring products, so you can use this to bridge any low signals between your router and any product from the Ring range.
    Purchase on Amazon UK: amzn.to/3hDdbDV

    Some additional standard doorbell sounds would’ve been nice

    Thanks for the demo Andy, we only used our first one for a few weeks then switched it off as we couldn't find a suitable tone, we set it on the default ring tone but like you say it was the same as the advert on the tv so when the advert came up on the tv we would think someone was at the door ringing the bell 😆😆😆

    The chimes where on sale at the local store. I brought one and placed it in the hall way. It's so loud you can hear it any where in the house was easy to set up.

    Very useful as I'm considering a ring doorbell. Update: I've purchased a Eufy Battery Doorbell and an indoor pan and tilt 2k camera. Delighted with both, info in the video helped me eliminate Ring on the basis of subscriptions. Plan to add to Eufycam pro 2s to complete the system. 👍 thanks again.

    Although you can change it on the chime, pro and the original chime outlet accessory you can’t change the sound on the doorbell itself, which is a shame

    • @andycdgreen

      Yes, this is very unfortunate, I personally turn the actual doorbell volume down low enough so callers can hear it, but not loud enough to upset the neighbours

    This is the video I was looking for, thank you. Most Ring doorbell reviewers and even some Chime reviewers just skip over the sounds or only demonstrate a couple of them. I haven't bought a doorbell yet, but I probably prefer the Ring Alert 3 or Doorbot options I think; something more subtle than the standard tune. Does anyone know if the sound the doorbell itself plays outside can be changed to match (I'm considering the Pro 2 model), and if the sounds available on the standard 2.4Ghz Chime are the same as they are the Chime Pro shown here?

    The only reason I can see why they brought out a new "Gen 2" is that the original broke too easily..There was a mechanical fault between the 3pin adapter and the main unit. This is just their way of fixing a bad design and add no more functionality than the original. and as for the price, it's a rip-off.

    From someone pressing the bell and the alert sounding...much lag?

    • @andycdgreen
      @andycdgreen  ปีที่แล้ว

      On this setup a fraction of a second, although I have “rang” other ring doorbells (battery models) due to the nature of my job and there can be a good second delay. I guess it depends on distance from the router and whether the model is mains or battery operated. Either way, the delay is totally acceptable
