Please come out to the Blackfeet Reservation this coming winter. We have only one vet on the Rez and she is wonderful but she can not cover this entire area on her own. I have walked through five feet of snow in the winter to feed and water horses out here. I walk through the snow because I don't want the horses to get close to the road and get hit by cars. My friends and neighbors help but it is very difficult. we buy the hay out of our own money. We do not have funding or a Go Fund Me account...These are not our horses but we care for them. Ranchers do not want them on leased land because of the cattle that are brought in for grazing so they chase them off the land and onto the roads. Our roads are heavily traveled during peak season out here because we have two major entries into Glacier National Park and Two Port of Entries from Alberta Canada into this Reservation. They travel well over the speed limit. Moose, Bear, Horses are hit every year during peak season. We do not have a Govt license to rescue any animals that are hit out here. If we try to assist we are fined huge amounts of money. Moose calves are left on their own to survive if their Mom is hit and killed. If we assist, we are fined. We are trying desperately to establish a refuge and rehabilitation sanctuary out here but we need help.

Drat I think merely got cut off cuz the video had ended. Long story short Ty for your interventions to save innocent animal lives and maybe apply to horse plus humane society for a grant to help with your group’s work. They have a huge following on both TH-cam and Facebook so perhaps you have heard of them, but maybe don’t know how generous they are to help other organizations do similar work in their own communities.
