Listening to your story reminded me of the days with my son who was diagnosed. The regular doctors told me he was delayed and not to worry, but I had 2 other children , there was a difference. He didn’t walk until after 3 and speaking after that. Once I advocated, we started services several times a week and he bloomed over the years. Not to say there weren’t hard times, he didn’t sleep at night either. He is now 21, had to have allowances in classes in high school but graduated in main classes and has a hands on job that he loves. He still has oddities but most people think he’s quirky. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I could not be more proud. Just keep being his advocate it pays off. Thank you for sharing. He had trouble with tasks but does so well now in his job and his life
Made it to the end! 🏵🌺 I always love these types of videos, thanks for sharing. I diamond painted along with you throughout the video and it really feels like diamond painting together as you share life updates and it's so much fun, I love it 😊 I laughed out loud when you talked about the Nintendo credits James bought you haha 🤣 so much money and he was just having fun 😄 Love from The Netherlands, Eva
Just look at the fun and learning James is getting. I was laughing right along with you. He is amazing!! And look at the progress he is making ♥️♥️ Don’t ever question yourself if you are doing right or wrong. Just look at James ❤️❤️ You are also an amazing Mom! Hugs and prayers 🤗🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻 Love you, Theresa
🌺 Thank you for sharing this project. The mini drills seem interesting but not sure if my eyes could do this. I just finished my second jingle drills project “Hope Runs Deep”, my first Chuck Pinson work. Very pretty. Thank you for hosting the event. I am having lots of fun participating. 💐
Thank you for update. I hate when my drills feel like they sliding. But learn if I put a drill down I will hold for second and it helps. We have the same rules with school (prek) here in CO. up until they turn 3 they can have services at home, daycare etc. but once the turn 3 than they go to public school for regular preschool.
I did not know that you had 2 children with autism. My son has autism and your stories brought back many memories of those early days. He is 27 now and still severely delayed, however, he has an underlying genetic condition that causes parts of his brain to harden and calcify (Tuberous Sclerosis) and he has many hardened areas in his brain, so he is dealing with more problems than autism. He also has seizures every day. It has been a really rough road, but he is the light of our life. I am grateful that my husband and I are still able to care for him. My greatest fears are his future and what happens when we can't or are no longer here. Your James sounds so smart. Always assume intelligence, even if they don't talk much, they observe EVERYTHING and take it all in. Clearly he has as he was mimicking the therapists. That gave me the best laugh. On another note, I also bought this canvas and was interested to see you work on it. Single placing is going to drive me nuts too 🤦♀️, but thankfully, it's only small portions of the canvas. If this mini dot thing takes off, creators on Etsy will be churning out mini dot merchandise in no time. Loved this video and your stories...hang in there, mama..from one who is a lot farther down the road, you can do this and you've got this 🌹🌸💐🌼🌻🌷
I cant wait to see this kit completed. Waiting to see how it turns out before I spend 200 bucks. M kids are 9 and 10 and I gave up years ago on them sleeping alone. They still sleep with me and it was worth my sanity. Eventually they will grow outbof it. I would rather sleep than fight it.
Well Lindsey I have to thank you for enabling me into buying 1 of these kits 😂😂. I haven't received my kit yet but I'm very excited to start it now watching this🤣🤣 You could take that placer out of the little pen and put in 1 of your pretty pens.😊🪷🌼🌸🌻
The mini dotz look interesting and I'm curious to see how they turn out in the painting. I'm definitely turning into a mood diamond painter cause I have 7 wips going right now. I'm trying to finish as many as I can before the new year. I hope you have a good rest of the week! 🌹🌸
🌺 I have twin boys that are almost 2 that were born very premature so they have therapies at home too! I totally relate to you. Right now they get speech therapy and occupational therapy. Neither are talking at all yet and I feel like getting the evaluations can be stressful. I always get discouraged hearing how far behind they are even if it’s not their fault. I love hearing your stories because I don’t feel alone then! ❤
🌷🌺 Great update! I love to hear about your beautiful, clever boys. I think that canvas is going to be amazing and I look forward to seeing it progress. Blessings to you this Christmas season ❤💚🥀
Yes. I am so used to multiplacing. I use 4 placer mainly. I flip the pen without thinking, see areas on canvas with 2-4 drills and even use it to single place by garbing 2 drills (1 on each end) sometimes. Mini dots look really neat option to provide more detail. If they become a thing I am sure all the tools will be made for mini size too.
Looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the mini drills. I'm fairly new to Diamond Painting. Do most set goals for themselves?? If so, I'll just set one and work on kits from at least 3 new-to-me brands in 2024. 🌺
I was diagnosed with special needs in preschool and I can’t multitask and that eval would cause me so much anxiety and would overwhelm me now and even as a kid. I think I’m undiagnosed adult autistic and it would explain a lot. 😅
🌼🌷Watching you do this, I agree with the sliding nature of what you're placing today, and it does seem to go very slowly not being able to multiplace the mini dotz. I'm so sorry to hear about your Nintento charge woes from your son! I hope they can make it right. You have a great attitude with being able to laugh it off! I hope you have a great rest of your week as well. ♥
🌻🌺🏵 I'm new here. Very much enjoyed this WIP and Chat. Your kids sound absolutely adorable and they're so fortunate to have such wonderful parents. Hopefully Nintendo credits you for those charges! Looking forward to the next WIP and chat. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
🌺🪻Thank you for your video. I think the smaller Drills are going to make the face more delicate, it's going to be interesting to see how it looks. Bless you with the patience . It can be challenging to the most patient people in working with one autistic child and you have two. You have such a wonderful, patient, loving , nurturing attitude. Your boys are blessed to have such a special mom. ❤❤❤❤
I can relate on the setting the goals on a diamond painting or project and then not getting it done because it gets stressful. I ran into that with a project I was working on before Drills and Chills got frustrated with it and started the drills and chills project. Didnt concentrate well enough to finish that so did a coloring page to enter instead, fast forward to me entering Jingle Drills and low and behold Im behind on that too lol. So I have 3 in progress paintings and a number of unfinished watercolor floating around too same reason. I hope you were able to get Nintendo to refund you if not hopefully your bank or paypal can assist. 🌻
Thank you for the WIP & chat, Lindsay! I don't know how you do it, I can only work on 1 kit at a time or I get so much anxiety that its not done. I am almost done with my Jingle Drills canvas, I am working on Festive Fireplace by Dominic Davison and it is slow going, so much confetti! Hope you have a great weekend!
I've loved listening to you Lindsay, and hearing about your family. Jingle Drills is my very first DP event and I'm really enjoying it. Thank you for all that you do!!🪷🪷🪷
Sorry to hear about the switch incident with your son. I had a similar situation with my son and the iPad. Fortunately we got a refund from the App Store. So stressful!
Very fun wip and chat! ⚘️🪷 Even as a person who does not plan to ever have kids, it's really interesting to hear about your life! I have so much respect for people who parent, and put so much effort into parenting well. Looking forward to catching more of your chats!
I hope, as a parent, you are able to speak up and say something if a therapist runs through testing at a breakneck pace. If a child isn't tested in a consistent manner, he won't get results that actually reflect his abilities. Watching you work with the microdots, I wish I could afford to get a kit with them right now, but it will be several months -- darn! Maybe you can host a microdot event in the future.
🌼 I like the idea of smaller drills for faces but I'm not sure I could stomach the price point of DD fancy kits, lol. I will look forward to what you think in the future!
Those minidots are so fascinating, and a brilliant idea for faces. So curious to see how it will turn out. But single placing everything does seem frustrating!
I would just take that tip out of the diamond Dotz pen and put it in a better one from your collection. The dac tips are so thin I wonder if you could make multi placing work with the micro Dotz.
Can’t you take the micro dots tip off the pen and put it in one of your pens? That’s what I plan on doing. I bought the hummingbird picture they had in the Master Class category.
You sound just like me. 2 aussy babies and therapy and school etc. Now add 2 more "regular" children and another child on school breaks, a full time job, no husband to split chores, manage repairs to the house, 2 sick parents and also time for yourself and we would be twins. 😂😂😂 life is crazy but tackle it with a good attitude and it goes ok.

The mini dotz are neat. A multiplacing pen to accompany them would be a good idea! 🌷
oh YAY!!! I watched your unboxing of "The Kiss" yesterday so I'm excited to watch you work on it! Thank you so much for posting this.

Flower emoji :0) can’t find it x x nice work
🌸It’s fine to have smaller drills, but they should have a tray to fit them and a pen with a multiplacer. Curious to see how this turns out. ❤

Hey, couldn’t you just pop that white plastic tip into one of your fancy pens?
I am waiting for my kit
Hey does the bottom of the kit drill s come out ? The foam with the drills ?

I wonder if the new skinny multi placers from DAC would work? Time to unplug the game controllers when done. Bless you and your sweet boys. 😘🎄🌸🪻💐🌹
