You should check out "The Star Wars" which follows the original screenplay written by Lucas, or the NPR Radio broadcasts of the films (all found on TH-cam).
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS PIECE OF STAR WARS HISTORY. CAN YOU PLEASE SHARING THE FULL BOOKS COLLECTION OF STAR WARS : GALAXY OF FEAR. A TRUE FAN FROM THE OLD GUARD.
Recorded in 1978 ? Was this an official audio book release or a fan made recording ? The narrators voice sounds a little too sped up , but its a bit better if i adjust the playback speed. Just get a little distortion of the audio that way , like a tape warble . Still ,its awesome to hear an unabridged version of this book, so thank you for putting it on your channel
I'm older than Star Wars, but I never knew this existed. Recorded by the the American Foundation for the Blind. Recorded at half speed in mono utilizing both Left and Right tracks to fit the whole thing on one standard 90 min. cassette, It required a special 4 track player to listen to it. Only about 1000 copies made.
You’re welcome! I’m keeping track of my progress while making my way through the audiobook. Do you plan on making an unabridged version of ESB or ROTJ, at some point? Great work, by the way! Keep it up!
Nice to know once & for all that Han did, indeed, shoot first. In fact, Greedo didn't even get a shot in at all, lol. Also good to know: why those storm troopers ran away from him, why Blue Leader left Luke in charge, why the Death Star was unprepared for the Rebel attack (though they should have been prepared for ANYTHING), that there was more than 1 unnamed survivor from the Death Star run, & (most importantly) that Chewbacca WAS supposed to get a medal at the end. My boy was cheated!
Lol, wow... the stupidity is strong with this one. The ignorance of new fans eager to impress the old guard with hatred of Disney Star Wars never ceases to amaze me.
A priceless piece of Star Wars history right here.
Thank you so much ! Had a crap day at work and will enjoy laying in bed in a galaxy far far away listening to this greatness
Sorry, but…you’re welcome
It’s all good ! 😂
You know... same thing happened to me. Crappy day. Going to enjoy listening to this as I fall asleep.
Yes! 😊 An unabridged audiobook of the novel that first awakened my lifelong love of reading some forty-five years ago. Much appreciated. 🙏

Thanks so much. Been looking for this for a while now!
I wonder how people thought of this book before the movie was released
You should check out "The Star Wars" which follows the original screenplay written by Lucas, or the NPR Radio broadcasts of the films (all found on TH-cam).
It was written by George Lucas
This is a novelization of the movie; it was written/released around the same time as the film.
I am so glad to have found this. been hesitant on wanting to read this novelization.
Thank you for releasing this work to the public, it's fantastic
The Star Wars Legends novels are a treasure, I'm finding I like them a little more than the movies coming out of Hollywood.
Thanks for sharing, this is a treat.
so glad i found this !!
This changed science fiction forever .. and movie merchandising.

A TRUE FAN FROM THE OLD GUARD.
Someone posted a TTS version of Galaxy of Fear a while ago. It’s not on my priority list, but you never know.
FUCKING CAPS
I just love Star Wars.
I like the quick gag of Ben mentioning ducks and Luke having no idea what those are
@@tsunderemerc2963 “What’s a duck?” Of course you would never see a duck on Tatooine. I was always surprised Luke knew how to swim in Splinter.
What he meant was "chickenduckwomanthing".
This is cooler than anything I've found in a while dude are there more old ones made like this?
a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. Do you plan on doing empire and jedi as well?
It’s best finished what you start 😉

Was this an official release? Or created with AI?
This was narrated by David Garfield in 1978.
Piggy? Could it be?
I prefer star was a new hope, this is just disney rubbish
This is the original novel. Published in 1976. Audiobook recorded in 1978.
@@decadebird the original was still better
Can you read?
Pure comedic gold
