Salomon XA PRO 3D - I use it because it is the only shoe with enough super pronation support. Old injury/fracture/dislocation of ankle means no other shoe fitted my needs like this one.
Since this is also my everyday shoe I have both GTX and non-GTX versions.

There's actually a little pocket on the tongue to keep all the excessive laces.

      Correct, and it works wonders.
Sometimes I just snug in the tip and I have the lace sticking out. Fine for city/street terrain.
Other times I roll up the lace and snug in the full lace. Disappears like magic.

I had this one for 3 months and GTX stopped working. And it wasn't even rainy in my area.
The morning dew on grass makes them stink af and make my socks wet. Maybe it's just mine shoes problem, but still terrible quality for the price.
Comfy shoe, but I've bought them cause of GTX, but it's just terrible.

So which Salomon shoe is the best for survival?

Quick laces are not so good what I think it could be. You cannot tighten it such you want, only one way together. I had earlier 3 pair GTX (not never ripped off big toe nail in 2 days by walking:( But GTX is best what you can get, only problem is when water goes in the shoe it wont get out.

is it possible to use normal laces to replace the quick one?
