- Intense moments at KHGI in Nebraska as a tornado approaches the station. Chief Meteorologist Tim Reith sends all his co-workers to the storm shelter as he continues to track the #tornado live on the air. #tvnews #weather #stormcoverage #meteorologist #severeweather
This is actually my local news station. Let me tell you, this meteorologist is wonderful. He’s calm and gets people the information they need in the simplest way. There are so many good meteorologists out there, and this is definitely one of them.
What state was this?
That's cpt.price bro
Blah blah
Note how they don't ever tell you anything. A part of me wonders if this is to gain popularity news channel wise.

Damn good meteorologist. Helping to save lives for as long as he could. Does anyone know if he had to go to the shelter?
Stupid because they could hear him even if safe. The treat weather guys aweful . No reason to go out in the blizzard, rain etc to report about it. Lol
Talk about stupidity. Why don't you try to actually formulate a sentence properly@@JaneBramucci
@@JaneBramucciBecause they have his monitors in their shelter? Do you think he's just connected to the radars/products/ NWS via neurolink or something? 😂😂😂
Wilfc a simple microphone can be picked up in another place. And yeah they probably should have star link as back up since lives depend on it and tornadoes are possible to wipe out electric for miles. Every see interviews where the mic is hot in another room. Generators and baby monitors could transmit. So if he didn't have too he didn't need to stand there. I think a green screen and lap top should be accessible in theor shelter because it's in tornadoes alley. 🌪 called being prepared to help the many, get news out.
It was idiotic. Simply put a warning on the screen telling everybody in the particular viewing area to seek shelter, it is not absolutely necessary for this guy to be seen and heard on screen doling out minutia details with pinpoint accuracy. Put on a wireless microphone that may or may not allow him to continue to be heard on-air with everything else going on. He was saving nobody, least of all himself. He was simply getting a rise of adrenaline, this is what all hardcore TV meteorologists live for.
He wasnt asked to be a hero, but he understood the assignment.
@@jerrymitchell8666🦆
Bro thought it was a joke and didn’t believe it so he stayed on air. Jk
@@ogpattyz2349 No his boss clearly forced him to stay on air. "He said keep your mic on".. meaning this poor man's boss didn't care about his life.
You guys toss around "hero" very loosely.
@lamontgarnesjr4638
I agree. He's not a hero. He just knew his job and did it. But he is brave, I have to give him that
Now this is a real metrologist
AMEN 🙏
After being in the middle of a literal tornado warning last night, with the siren blaring, and our local news station offered ZERO COVERAGE, thank you for prioritizing informing the public. So much respect.
Where i live the news stations generally interrupt the regularly scheduled shows on those channels with no notice if a tornado warning etc shows up in their coverage area, & usually stay on the air until the threat expires... & if bad weather knocks the power out at the station or knocks them off the air channel wise they'll usually use Facebook live & cell phone weather app info or something until it all gets fixed

Who watches TV?
@@thomasmills3934those of us wondering if a tornado is about to hit our home. And I’m not just referring to TV coverage. Their social medias had no updates either
The blaring tornado siren wasn’t enough information for you? 😂😂😂
Not creating panic but delivering calm instruction.
Awesome.
Knowing the cameraman has a higher survival rate than anyone

He stayed so calm for both his coworkers and his community. Bravo, sir 👏
The captain always goes down with the ship, mad respect to this man
Exactly why i choose to drown in my recliner when the real hurricane hits
Yes, except for the captain of the Costs Concordia. That dude booked it, left his passengers and crew behind as he took off like a big baby (he’s in prison now).
Absolutely
Wouldn’t the producer be more the captain? He’d be like a first mate or lieutenant?
He’s a hero! He chose everyone by himself. Kudos!
He knew how many people were relying on up to date information. 💐💐💐
Wow! Bless this man for his stoicism! He’s in service no matter what! That’s awesome! I hope everybody is ok!
Hard. Core.
Wish I were proud of my local meteorologist.
Man of the people, legendary
Hey! Go Tim Reith! Watching you from Grand Island! Putting everyone else's lives before his own, not just in the station, but everyone in the viewing area. True man of honor right there!
God bless this meteorologist, who put his life in danger for the safety of others on the path. This is pure dedication
This man is incredible at his job. Hope he stayed safe.
What a hardass. A true hero that stays in danger to help others. You are an inspiration for us all.
As a Nebraskan, this doesn't shock me in the least bit! Born to withstand anything! Nebraska Strong! 💪🫡🥰
Then why did so many people die?
Tim is an awesome meteorologist! We are thankful to have him here in Central/South central Nebraska!!!
That's a Man dedicated to not only his job and getting the best up to the minute information out to everyone but someone who in a moment of unknown disaster incoming he stayed to protect and save as many as he possibly could until either the tornado hit the News building or untill the power was lost.
Respect to this HERO
Great job sir. Some go above and beyond. All in the name of saving lives. The tornado that hit Minden was massive. His desire to do his job proves that humanity is stii alive. Thank you for what you did. I salute you.
Wrong minden
The calm in the presence of danger is impressive sir your are worth your weight in gold and I hope your station appreciates you as such.
Awesome instructions! He cared about people along the tornado route! Much respect!!
I wish the meteorologist we have here was like him. Respect.
That’s what I’m talking about. God bless you brother.
Total Respect for this meteorologist Thank you, sir, for looking out for all others. God Bless you and Stay Safe 🌪🙏 🫡👍❤️🙏
Now that's dedication!
That’s an OG Mr Tim Reith💯 loved watching him as a kid since I’m born and raised in Nebraska
Hi handsome do you ever get to Pennsylvania? You got nice eyes and lips. :)
I love people with hearts like that you can feel it
He needs an award and a damn raise for his bravery and concern
No way!!! F him!!! He's a overpaid idiot!!!
It’s his job isn’t, he’s just doing what he does best..
Brave man. He should get a fat raise in pay. He put his life on the line to try and keep people posted on the tornado. God bless him. ❤
Nothing happened
In today's climate he's lucky he didn't get fired for not following orders.

Was looking for this comment. Not many left like this one these days. Restores my faith in humanity.
I respect how chill and dedicated this gentleman is.
Actual hero right there. May he wear his cape until his last day on this Earth. 💖🕯️
Good for him. He's the weatherman, so bad weather is crunch time, and he knows he's gotta warn people for as long as possible.
Brave man...Thank you for protecting yhe people...Awesome job...
Amazing person putting others ahead of his own safety! I'm sure people in that area were grateful.
He was thinking of everyone.
“Mom, how did daddy die?”
“There was a tornado, and your daddy was a meteorologist, so it was his job to stay and provide updates for everyone. He even noted his colleagues to go find shelter. Truly a heroic act”

Absolutely NOBODY can touch Brian Norcross during hurricane Andrew in south Florida !!! He saved countless lives during the mini tornadoes in places like Country Walk. Straight up HERO
I don't know. Tim (The meteorologist in the video) has to do this about every other night for the majority of spring and early summer and then again in late summer because we constantly have violent storms and tornadoes dropping down
This happened a few years ago in Kansas as well. As they say not all super heroes wear a cape
He's a great weatherman
Wow, public service at another level with this man. You are a hero. Keeping people updated on what is happening even though it could potentially put your life at risk as well.
This guy loves his job. Kudos to him
Man understands the assignment

Meteorologists are truly unsung heroes and they try so hard to save lives, im so grateful for them
How? They're inaccurate most of the time.....

Actually they're accurate the majority of the time, it's just that privileged fools only notice when they're wrong so they have something to bitch about.

Dont be scared, be prepared....Ryan Hall, Meteorologist. You all are heroes! Thank you. 💖
THAT IS A REAL MAN RIGHT THERE 👏 👏 👏
I’ve got to hand it to that meteorologist, that takes some guts and a dedication to his viewers to send the entire crew to shelter and him stay on air. Hats off sir!!
He cares💯
Completely calm too
You kinda have to be in these situations.
Now THAT!! Is how it's done
this is what courage is - not lack of fear, but to push through in spite of the fear so that he could continue providing ease of mind to his community by informing them with a familiar face and voice! he didn't have to do this, but he did it anyway
Not all heros wear capes.
Absolute savage. A true professional.
Heros dont always wear capes
That's a man right there. Staying and helping for as long as humanly possible
I thought this type of legend didn’t exist. A real life modern day Ron Burgandy.

Fucking badass . We love you 🤞🏽
Wow big props to this guy. As an Emergency Manager, I really appreciate how he had the awareness to stay on air to keep people safe and informed. This guy needs a raise. Kudos sir!
The anchor never leaves his post, he goes down with the ship, I mean station!
An anchor goes down without a ship… it’s literally dropped down to hold the ship still. Your analogy is horrible, because an anchor could literally get everyone killed on a ship if the anchor did what it was supposed to do. Seek help.
You are remarkable sir!
Thank you, I was just doing my job

People watch livestreams on their phones. This saved many lives during the 2011 Super Outbreak.
