  • Delicious Traditional Tagine Recipe 🍲✨
    Welcome to our channel! In this video, we will be making an incredibly delicious and traditional tagine dish, a popular favorite loved by millions. This recipe features tender meat, flavorful vegetables, and a unique, savory sauce that makes it irresistible. We will also show you how to prepare a versatile dough to make two types of bread, perfect to accompany the tagine. Follow along to see all the details!
    Ingredients:
    For the Tagine:
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    1 tsp crushed garlic
    1 tbsp meat spices
    2 kg bone-in meat (or boneless, as preferred)
    Water
    1 tbsp salt
    Potatoes and carrots (or any vegetables of your choice)
    For the Dough:
    3 cups flour
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp yeast
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tbsp sugar
    1/2 cap white vinegar
    2 tbsp oil
    2 tbsp yogurt
    Water (as needed for kneading)
    Condensed milk (for brushing)
    Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
    Cooking Method:
    Prepare the Tagine:
    In a pot, heat a little oil and add the chopped onions. Sauté until they wilt.
    Add tomato paste and stir, then add crushed garlic and stir until fragrant.
    Add the meat spices and stir well.
    Add the meat, sauté to coat with the spices, then add a little water and salt.
    Cover the pot and let the meat cook until fully done.
    Add potatoes and carrots (or your choice of vegetables), cover, and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
    Prepare the Dough:
    In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast, baking powder, sugar, vinegar, oil, and yogurt.
    Gradually add water and knead until you get a smooth, soft dough.
    Cover the dough and let it rise until it doubles in size.
    Roll out one-third of the dough and use it to cover the tagine.
    Brush with condensed milk and garnish with sesame seeds (optional).
    Bake in a preheated oven until golden.
    Prepare the Bread:
    Roll out the remaining dough and bake on a griddle until puffed and golden.
    Keep the bread wrapped in a cloth to maintain its softness.
    Final Steps:
    Once the tagine is baked, optionally brush with butter or oil for a shiny finish.
    Serve the tagine hot with the freshly baked bread on the side.
