iv'e been a cruel harsh hateful man....this sermon and the power of Christ has taken my stone heart to replace it with a heart of flesh...this crushes my heart to weep...came to GOD 2 years ago and my mother got to see It she died months later then a year after that I lost my father ....GOD is my only PARENT now MY FATHER...sounds bad but in the big picture GOD saw to it that my heart is not the same....BUT ,my eternity has changed and his scripture is comfort, the small church I attend seems to be my replacement family....THANK YOU LORD THY WILL BE DONE...I know what JESUS meant HOW his burden is light...I never knew many of the sins I did every day I have been freed from by the POWER of CHRIST and his holy Spirit....Never could or would have done this without my new heart.... THANK YOU MY FATHER for your SON JESUS and how he has set me free!
As far as I know, there is no recording of Moody preaching, but Mr. Whitley gives what I imagine a very accurate representation of Moody, including his noticeable New England brogue. Don't know if Mr. Whitley is an easterner, but he does his portrayal proud.
I translated this Sermon to spanish and preached it at my church and honest to God there was a great revival, Tomorrow sunday I am invited to preach it again this time to a different church and I have no doubt in my heart God will speak and there will be a revival.
I have watched Mr. Whitley preach Moody at least 10 times and been blessed each and every time. God bless the memory of the this great man of God, and Doug Whitley for bringing him to life again.
I love this message. I can empathize with it. I can feel his passion and I love his testimony. When calls you must answer. He love us and will show. I love how the Lord use others to show HIS LOVE. Numerous times I have sent a message to a friend that I was compelled to send and they respond with "wow" I needed those exact words at this exact time. To God be all the Glory, sometimes I weep thinking of him using me for the sake of others. What a honor to serve the Great and mighty Lord that created Heaven and Earth. It is a blessing to be a blessing. ♡
