Loved Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. I played it in a single night on a whim and it really stuck with me. Beautiful, charming and a real delight to play.
Thank you for introducing me to this game, I used to go to my grandparents house every weekend (and on holidays) for 20 years straight, before they unfortunately passed away, and this village reminds me of it so much, such a cool and unique game. And the dynamic theme that comes with the download is sooo awesome lol. Love the videos guys, keep it up! :)
After watching Hollie and Nathan play this game, I got over my dislike of first person non-action games and bought it. I'm addicted, the location and graphics is just breathtaking and the music is so beautiful. It's like angels singing through Heaven xD

I just finished Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, and I must say that I loved it. Rapture's strongest point of differentiation is its stunningly crafted narrative: this is literature given form, eschewing the obvious structure and cliched characters that plague the medium and leaving ample room for interpretation and discussion. It deserves accolades for this accomplishment, doubly so for accomplishing this in an open-world and in a non-linear way! It demonstrates that otherwise common settings or non-fantastical characters can be made to be extraordinary. This is a groundbreaking step in opening to a world of storytelling in gaming beyond typical save-the-planet narratives. Few games have touched me as deeply and no others have had me in deep contemplation upon conclusion considering the crafted reality and the myriad perspectives of those that fictionally experienced it. I will be playing through it a second time starting tomorrow, as well as beginning a trophy hunt!This is sci-fi at its very best. Bravo. This is not a typical blockbuster, and not the next save-the-world shooter (a warning for those that require excitement). This is sci-fi at its very best. Bravo.
***** Yes, it is a lovely game and one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have had in some time! Hmm.. It's tough to say how long it took, because I played it over the course of roughly 5 days. I would say somewhere around 10 hours. Now I should mention that I tried to be exhaustive in my search and tried to soak in as much of the world as I could (although I definitely missed many things my first go-around as I didn't get many of the trophies). I also didn't know about the R2 "run" button to increase my traversal speed so it may have taken me longer as a result.
***** I truly know what you mean! Some of the trophies require that you complete the game fully a second or third time. I have to complete the trophy that requires that I trigger all story in the game. I was not aware that this applied not only to the acting segments, but also required turning on all of the TVs, and triggering all of the phones, etc! This will certainly be laborious, though I may do so after a short break. The devs have hinted that this game could come to VR, and I would love it were that the case. In VR, I would be glad to play through it a second time, experiencing the story as though I was actually inside of the fictional world.
***** For sure! The Chinese Room have talked about the possibility of VR for this game specifically, and I really hope that it is in the works as a DLC or an app update. To feel as though I was in that world would be amazing. But what would be most amazing is to have real memories of having lived in this game world, and real memories of the characters, and events! It feels like a perfect fit for VR!

I love this! Seeing both the game and the face-cam is amazing. I love seeing the down to earth and relatable side of Nathan and Holly. I mean around the 21:00 mark in the house just the look in their eyes was so sincere and genuine. It's like instead of watching a horror to see them freak out its a calm collected and kind of sad game in which you get a polar opposite reaction. To see a game that can touch people on such an emotional level with so little is amazing. this is just wonderful and relaxing to watch. Fingers Crossed for a full play-through WITH a face cam
Wow, its so atmospheric this game! It reminds me of a book by Lars Wilderäng, called Starry Night. Only difference is that the story in the book takes place where i live, in Sweden

Man the houses, the mood the details, wish they had added gameplay to call it a videogame. You cant even grab anything, i will not be surprised if at the ending you are a light too. Of course, if this game has even an ending.

I played this the day of release, completing it on my second session playing it the next day and it was really good. I know people will say it has no actual gameplay and is just a walking simulator but I really did enjoy what game play there was, and the voice acting and incidental background music really set the scene well. Visually it's one of the best looking games I have played too, only cost me £13 on PSN but is well worth the money and with the trophies and collectibles it is worth a second or third play through.
At the moment I have my left ear completely blocked due to a little accident... As soon as it heals up and is set to go I'm getting this game! I hope I won't get lonely out there tho...
I wish there would be more interaction in terms of getting food so you dont die, its looks really good but I wish there was more of a feeling of survival and curiosity rather than just curiosity.
A top tip for anyone watching this thinking they'd like to play this... don't do what these guys did (and what I did too!) and "explore" and not follow the light. The light takes you on the "correct" path through the narrative so that you see everything. If you just go where you want, things sometimes don't trigger correctly and you might miss huge parts of the story. As these guys missed out the end of Jeremy's story here (as they didn't go to the church at the right time).

I finally bought the game thinking well since I liked the Stanley parable and gone home, I would like this right, not really, I would much rather be in those events, you know the stories you see than try and piece them together, like Jim sterling said yesterday "after all the blood, gore, and gun we want a breath of fresh air that's why we set the standers for one so low"

When I see the title of this game I always get really excited because I think they've made a new Bioshock game. Then I get really disappointed when I find out it's not!
From what I hear... You walk around at your own will, trying to piece together the events and what's happened. You have no quests so you explore yourself and solve it yourself.
wishingW3L You know, it's because of gamers like you, we get rehashed versions of CoD and Assassin's Creed every single year. It's obvious this game isn't trying to break any expectations when it comes to gameplay, it's simply a story that uses an interactive medium in order to further dramatise, emphasise and immerse the player in what is a deep and rich emotional story. How hard is that to understand? Just because you don't shoot people, doesn't mean it isn't a great game in other respects.

I too had trouble hearing this video. I turned the volume up to 100 and could still only barely heard half the conversation.
If I tried to explain this game to a friend I'd make it sound dull as pisswasser. But this game sucked me in as very few games have. Loved it
