In early September Victoria and I spent 4 days hiking 30+ miles and camping in the Banff backcountry around what is known as The Skoki Loop Trail. Beautiful blue lakes, HUGE mountains, and some amazingly scenic viewpoints make this one of my favorite trails to backpack so far.
Plus, it's a great place to get away from the crowds of Banff National Park - I think we only saw like 20 people the whole 4 days we were out there. If you're a backpacker, photographer, or filmmaker I would highly recommend you check it out!

Most of the sound is straight from my mic. Not a lot of "design" in this one but stoked with how it turned out. A little more raw
@@codyandvictoria I guess that's what I meant. Just a tasteful balance between the raw sounds and music. Everyone has come to think sound design means aggressive, random "effects" that just distract from the story. Doing what you did takes more talent than you probably give yourself credit for. A lot of people would have removed all the raw audio entirely, bumped it up to be way too loud, or added those gross sound effects lol... I felt immersed in the moment while watching this, which should be the goal in sound. Anyways, I'll quit rambling now haha, keep it up man!

It brings back so many memories of the times I spent in tents. I love it when its real wild stormy weather. The ominous power of nature. Rumbling from miles away ... You're inside a tent and the dark clouds open up and release buckets of water. A violent storm. The crackling of thunderbolts as you look towards the ceiling of your tent. A flash of lighting and its like daylight. Slowly the storm blows away. The rumbles gradually fade away until its gone then eventually the clouds part and the moon appears. The rain drops drip off the leaves of trees. You wake in the morning and its sunny again. 😂👍
