In case you missed it, WERE GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW! So apologies in advance if we miss an upload or two. It's going to be a crazy week or so for us. We'll be back to the adventures shortly. Love you guys 🤙🏼 Edit: to see our engagement check out the Banff video 😉
"Ive done so many videos about camera gear that I'm just tired of doing it." I think a ton of creators feel this way but get locked into shooting one style of content and don't know how to move away from it. Awesome job pivoting your channel into something different.
@@codyandvictoria I think you'll find a much bigger audience with your new direction and will be much more enjoyable to create the content. It's hard to pivot but worth it in the long run
I can just imagine the amount of burnout you guys go through when it comes to talking about camera gear. Haha! I kinda wish people worried more about their creativity than the kind of gear they used. Of course, it's always nice to have good quality, but that shouldn't be the core part of it. I mean, I'm a Nikon user. Really what all that should matter to people is they do a deep dive and just find something that will suit their needs rather than basing their opinions off of those of other's. Keep up the good work, guys!
As an emotionally driven guy I judge vlogs, movies, and tv series on their ability to make me motivated, happy, cry, and relax. This video made me do all of that. I love y’all and I will be watching every one of your videos.
Tomorrow!!! I'm excited for you two, my wife and I are celebrating our 30 year anniversary this year. I'm thinking you two have what it takes to go the long haul as well, hey, it just takes love and understanding and patience, I know you two have that, so get out there and enjoy your future.
When Cody and Victoria get old - So you guys remember this lake we showed you 30 years ago. Yeah, it is still so beautiful as it was all those years ago. I think you guys have potential to become nature explorers that your data should be used by important people in noting little changes in our environment which will help us change our way of living so we can preserve this beautiful nature for future generations. I see you two living a great life ahead together. I came across the Moon family on insta that live a similar life but with 2-3 kids with them.
I'm so jealous of how much you guys hike and where you guys go. I would kill to just live in that kind of atmosphere. But I well understand why no one is ever allowed to. Which is an obvious but really good reason. Mother Nature is NO ONE's property. On another positive note: Your films always uplift me and brighten my days. Congrats on making it towards marriage, guys! :)
Just found your account. This gives me an overwhelming sense of urgency to get out and experience the west more. I went in 2018 on a bike tour through Banff and Jasper National Parks and am just longing to get back
Congratulations with the marriage to both of you the 18th. here from Denmark. I am very sure you will walk perfectly the road of life. I always get happy when i see your videos. You are a great couple.
Get you someone that looks at you like Cody looks at Victoria, and vice-versa. Love this video-- incredible content per usual guys! Thanks for showcasing some of the most important parts of the world.
The 9 people who disliked this must be blind or idiots because you quickly became my all time favorite film maker/youtuber! You give very good tips, your quality is impeccable!! I love everything about this. You are giving me sooo much inspiration! I wish I could give this 1000,000likes !
You’re such an amazing lovely couple, take all the time you need.. We’ll be waiting like little puppies, always happy to see your new beautiful adventures 😊
I am throughly enjoying these videos with the great outdoors/camping lifestyle. Especially in these times, these are bringing so many of the joys of the great outdoors to life. And, as an added benefit, you put the photo/video spin on the content which really makes you uniquely you in your niche. All the best and can’t way for more!
That's so great man! Obviously we argue at times but we try to keep our presence and appreciate each other through those moments. It's a constant practice like everything else. Perspective is key. Thanks for watching! Hope you find time to get outside this weekend.
Just watched this video and it was great as always. I love these kind of videos. Keep them coming if you can but more importantly, congratulations on your wedding! That’s awesome! Have fun!!
you guys are awesome,,, congratulations on your wedding day,,, you guys are great together,,,, thanks for sharing another epic wilderness getaway excursion....
Congrats to both of you! So happy to watch this video till the end and found out about the good news. Always love watching your hiking and outdoor videos. Greetings from Singapore.
Wowowowowow. You've outdone yourselves again with another fantastic video. Your videos make me feel like I'm right there with you two, so sorry if it feels like some old guy is tagging along but the videos are that good! Congratulations (a night in advance) on your exciting day tomorrow!
awesome video as always! and holy... i wasnt expecting that marriage notice, im so happy for u guys! Congrats!🎉🎉 Enjoy all the time you need, ill be waiting right here for the next upload!
Amazing video as always! I started following your channel not long ago and I just love your style. I followed some of your tutorials and just uploaded my first video that is definitely inspired by your style! keep up your good work! Hi from Italy!
Can you do a video on your focus settings when you're filming landscape versus when you're filing you + Victoria at a distance so you're both in focus.
I'm enjoying your backpacking videos so much! Keep them coming. I shoot on an A7iii too, and I just upgraded my ND filters to PolarPro = game changer. Love them. Is a third person hiking with you? Some of the shots of you and Victoria so look handheld, but maybe you added a little shake in post? Just a minor observation! The hike looks so beautiful. And CONGRATULATIONS!!!
That's a cool camera attachment to you back pack. How many batteries do you bring? Your cameras/lense are top notch but sounds heavy. I'm 70 yrs old/your set up is for the young! Lol. When you turn 60 you'll start looking at Aspc. Excellent videos. Really enjoy them.
Bro, I ve also had a Mammut Bag with this Spine technology that makes this squeak. It is this connector (pivot) pin on the back that makes the back bend left/right when your spine moving. Maybe if you use a little bit of lube or wax on that joint it goes away. this problem exists for many years with this bags. I sent mine back because of this. I ve read about this lubing/ waxing tipp after i sent it back, so didnt have a chance to test it. but it works for my squeaking clipless road bike pedals ( ordinary wax) . you would need to disconnect the pivot joint, drop a little melted wax in there and put it back together. Drylube from your bike should also work since it contains wax. Hope that helps!
Thomas Grantham yeah, I also use sometimes this trick, when static shot is not suiting the video vibe. I downloaded free fake handheld preset from guys from cinecom.net
My question is are you using some sort of preset in post to mimic some camera shake for the static tripod shots? I noticed it in a lot of the wides with both of you guys in the shot so I assume it's on a tripod, but there's still that organic movement, almost looks like someone else is holding it. Is it just wind or is there a little bit of post work going on?
Hi! Really love your videos. We are based out of Seattle and are so privileged with diversity of outdoor activities. I have a simple question - When we hike with our "nice camera" I am always so worried about potentially slipping and smashing the camera. Any thoughts about how to protect the camera? Has this happened to you?
Thanks for all the tips on your gear. What is the name of the camera strap that both of you use in your videos? It looks like it works well. How quick is it to pull up camera for shots or video? Thanks,
Cody I want to ask you something...if you have the option to chose a shirt when you travel mountain you will take cotton ones or blend 50/50 or fully polyester.?
We don't know why, but for some reason we feel like your heart TRULY is to film backpacking & wilderness footage and not gear stuff. I could almost feel like a *sigh* as you were doing the PolarPro piece in the middle; nothing against PolarPro. Idk - just an observation! Still love your vids all the same. You guys continue to be idols for us. Thank you!
Quick question: was there a 3rd person filming or did you add the little camera shake in post to what appears to be tripod shots? 🤔 Usually I don't like shaky moving camera shots but this felt really organic and matched your handheld footage.
I was wondering about the same thing few months ago. Later on I found out that he actually made a tutorial on "how to make that fake camera shake": th-cam.com/video/OMuSBIhRm-M/w-d-xo.html
How does the PolarPro mount work with your tripod? Do you change base plates every time you use the tripods or is there a way to use the PolarPro base plate on both?
Some of your distant shots of the both of you walking by the camera, have a little camera shake/handheld look. Are you adding that later in post? Love the channel and vids.
Greetings, I hope that you can answer me. my question is can you use an external monitor with sony a6000 camera? If so, which monitor do you recommend?
