Love this song! Kansas was a great band from the 70's. Their musical style is a fusion of hard rock, southern rock & progressive rock. "Carry On Wayward Son" & "Dust In The Wind" are their 2 biggest hits. But they had other good songs such as "Point Of Know Return", "Hold On", "People Of The South Wind", "Play The Game Tonight", "Fight Fire With Fire", "All I Wanted" etc.
I disagree. We can build in Love or Hate. Both can have major, lasting effects. However, we will all return to dust. I think we should leave Loving things behind when we do.
I knew you'd like this Sarah. If we'd treat everyday like it is our last day, life is precious, material things are just fleeting, love is eternal. A reminder to what are our priorities. Mature and thoughtful reaction.
One of the best songs of all time. Truly love the deep spiritual places Kansas went to lyrically coupled with the most beautiful vocals and instrumentals.❤
This began as a finger exercise. Kerry Livgren, the guitarist front left, was practicing with this and his wife kept telling him to do something with it. After she said that several times, he put together the words, took it to the band on the last day of recording, and their reply was "Where has THAT been?".
Your so right. God's gift of love was our creation, and now, life after life, we must strive to find that love within our hearts, and then to pass on god's love to all!
Great song reaction. On a lighter note…one not so great memory from the 70’s is the pirate shirt with ruffles, being worn outside their intended of wedding rentals. Owned one…ouch.🤣
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT = And all your money wont another minute buy. Be good , be humble , be honest , enjoy life , smile , dont tell lies , respect , help someone , share a piece of bread or a cup of water.
This is a song full of wise words that were written by Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastes. Humanity is a sad existence, but fortunately we have a God who has created us all for a preordained purpose that we should walk out (Eph 2:6-8). Jesus was the perfect example of a life being lived that was committed to doing the Father's will (John 5:19). And His will for us is good pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:1-2).
People everywhere struggle for money, fame or power. As someone once said, the rich man's grave and the poor man's grave are both dug to the same depth.
A truly great "Gotcha" song. Not sure when it came out, I know I was well into adulthood, loved it then, love it now. Your videos make me happy, thank you.
In the end, love survives. If you help others to make life a bit more comfortable, THEY will remember you and for a short time you will live in their memory.
Back in the day when this was hot for some reason Kansas NEVER played in Nebraska. I lived there so a buddy and I had to go to Red Rocks (Colorado/God's Cathedral). Very well worth the trip and a nice ride on a couple of Harleys with our girls. 600 miles round trip with roughly $1.00 gas I've seen them since then with the new band members in Reno (former Harrah's outdoor venue) Still killin' it. I still have this LP./Album. Carry on Wayward Sun. Point of Know Return. "All your money won't another minute buy".
From dust we came and to dust we shall return
This is a classic rock song top 10 in 1977

Ecclesiastes 3 20 "All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return." The vanity of our efforts change little in this world.

It is also saying don't waste your life, every minute is precious.

Life isnt meaningless at all. Its a gift. The greatest gift of all is love. That came from above. It is the meaning of life.
