    Never pass meds before checking vitals.

      yes. Do your needed assessments before med pass which can include vitals.

      I think Kati worked at a hospital where they had CNAs/externs that checked vitals for the nurses so she would just have to look at the chart and if abnormal, recheck the vitals. At my hospital we do vitals and glucose checks ourselves unless we have nursing students that can do glucose checks.
