  • Wah gwaan people.in this video tear down the donor motor i got from north carolina. the motor had more dust than oil crud since it was sitting out of the car and in a warehouse. for the most part its clean but i ran into some undesirables in the tear down. the coolant jackets are really rusted and we're trying to achieve optimum performance. the engine shop near by doesn't do what i need to get the block as clean as i need it based on the condition so ill be using the block from the second donor motor i got form Florida. I checked one of the jackets on it and it was beautiful inside so hopefully on that tear down we'll be more successful. the head on that motor isn't as lovely so it seems as if we'll be using the b13 block with the b14 head.so stay tuned for part 2 where i tear down the second specimen from the b13 Sentra.

im so sorry for the late reply man ive been hella busy.been tryna gather the resources so i can start posting consistently again.
anyways.....yes it can definitely be fixed.if its not seized up from rust there's a chance the motor can be saved.
when was the last time it started and what do you think might have caused it not to want to crank anymore?
do you have a fully charged battery?
are your spark plugs in good condition?(do you know how to check them and also check if you have spark to each cylinder)?
when you turn the ignition to the last mark before starting it,do you hear the fuel pump "prime"?
      let me know😎

@shakotanengineering6049 yes fuel pump works I removed fuel filter and I got fuel all over me lol last time it was ruiing was 2 months ago. It does even trun on when I pop the clutch. I took it to a handyman mechanic and tried to turn the motor and it didn't turn. He said it's locked. When it died on me it was on and Idling in a walmart parking lot then it just turned off and couldn't get it to turn, I changed the matter and it wasn't that so idk maybe starter but it doesn't even turn or crank when I pop the clutch so idk

@@SanAntonioNewHomesForSale damn i wish i was physically there to look at it.
how about spark?you have fuel comin from the pump so the next step is to check for fuel pressure of spark coming from the plugs.
by the way is the check engine light on on the dash?if so what code is it throwing?
oh one more thing to check if its completely locked, jack the car up in he front(both sides and be safe about it) and get the socket for your crankshaft bolt with a breaker bar and try to rotate the crank with the socket.make sure the car is in neutral first.if it spins we're good,if not we're not so good

hey i sure can.that hose is a vacuum hose where the end of the hose thats not connected would go to the valve head cover and connect to the "nipple"on it.
i found a video showing where the pipe connects to.its at the 24 second mark where youll see where the hose connects right next to the oil cap on the left when youre facing the engine bay.
      hope this helps

Very good and very organised. I have a Pulsar n16 hatchback QG18DE engine it is excellent does not burn oil but the timing chain is just a bit noisey, I think it is just the guides and tensioner so think I may just change them and see if that cures it. Often drive it 700km in a day and only use synthetic oil (Penrite). It is 22 years old with 160,000km and still going strong and I'm hoping it will last out as I am 70yo, maybe another 10 years, lol. Keep doing what you are doing man, that engine looks ok.

anyways as it relates to your car, it sounds healthy and yes a good overhaul of the tensioner and the timing chain would do you good.just for reference the VQ35 engine timing chain starts to rattle occasionally around 130,000 miles.they said its due to the chain stretching overtime so yes whenever you get the chance and reasonable downtime, give her a new chain an tensioner!

@@waleedsmith2876 well sounds like you had the same issues i had with my engine.do you have a loss of power when trying to drive sometimes too? and does it happen randomly as well?
that use to happen to me but my smoke color was like whitish grey.the color is very important but either way oil is getting into your combustion chamber somehow and worn piston rings, worn valve stem seals and in rare cases a head gasket that leaks on the 'oil side' can cause all of these.
when i had the same problem it sounds like you have, the first thing i did was change the headgasket.that didnt work and i only drove the car for a week with the same smoky symptoms showing up on day one proving it wasnt the headgasket.
i pulled the motor again and then did a complete ovehaul.i changes the piston rings, valve stem seals and a new headgasket.i havent tested yet because ive been busy but im sure this has fixed the problem.the motor is in the car but i will defiatley post a video when i do the first start.i also wanted to ad fresh axles but ive been busy but anyways your problem might be between these two things:worn valve stem seals or worn piston rings.
to check if its the piston rings you could do a compression test and see if the numbers are up to spec and the numbers are close together.
as for valve stem seals thats a different story.youd have to to take the cams and springs out to see if they are too hard and brittle. but if youre high mileage you should just go ahead and do an overhaul😎
