that fucking wingbeat would've been the most hype moment of the entire season if it had actually worked.
This is genuinely a good representation of history though. At YCS Turin, Sixth Sense Ruler format, a ton of rogues made it to top (and won) because they knew exactly what >90% of their games would be against.
I blame the Dragon Rulers for making Cimo resort to Worse Evilswarms.
dragon rulers mirror wouldve been fun for at least a few episodes and then they couldve judgemented it. cimo chose to respin and then resorted tho this. like i dont blame him for playing a deck that can compete with dragon rulers but it makes for a really boring ep

@@tuvillo it's not, but cimo could have used a redoer on the single most impactful set for months in the series and we could have gotten interesting Dragon ruler mirrors before they judgement them, that's the point

woke up at 3 am to watch this, i made it to a point in the video yesterday where i could not watch anymore and i said to myself i need to wait for MBT for this, hope it was worth it.

Its not the floodgate deck that frustrates you exactly, but the insane luck Cimooo has with his draws that really grinds your gears, this man has played chaos pile with 30 one offs and amanged to HAVE A LEAD WHILE ALWAYS DRAWING WHAT HE NEEEDS, and now when he needs the floodgate HE GETS IT, when he needs a monster, HE GETS IT
if oyu could run a million simulations of their duels I have no doubt Gage would have like 90% win rate in all of the episodes, but in our reality we have one of those 10% where Cimooo almost never bricks
I mean Alex always drawing one of his 13 floodgates is to be expected.
I prefer that to gage playing a I wish I was dead ftk snore fest again

Holy shit across all his series Cimo is insane with how he lets plays go through just to activate a card in response to something he let resolve.
I watched that frog FTK game and mans literally changing his endboard because he did the line wrong, similar here with the vanity on the mecha phantom beast, homie you missed the activation window you need to say basic phrases for response windows plzzzzz.
Yeah I would have sharked him with the tether wolf. He clearly said it was fine and gaslight Gage by saying he "shotgunned it".

26:42 there was a CLEAR cut in editing there. meaning cimo was time that had to be cut from. meaning cimo had plenty of time to react and activate vanity's. but he didnt. then when gage was about to beat him with teatherwolf, cimo decided to cheat, and abuse gage's good will so he can rewind. kinda sick of seeing this happen so often. cimo 'going back' to give him the advantage.
This kind of crap + Cimo literally having Atem's BS top deck power no matter how dogshit a deck he plays is just honestly making the series more and more unwatchable by the episode.

Dragon rulers killed any hype for season one and looks to be doing the same for season two.
Hate Cimo all you want but it's the dragons that are so insanely stupid this is his only viable option.
Cimo could have rerolled and rerolled and rerolled for an optimal Dragon Ruler package in LOTG, but instead he kept a playset of Tidal and never used it. Now he's playing salty for this entire match.

Gage played burn with fiber jar in main, ftks, pacman stun with gravity bind and level limit, but cimo plays stun and now people complain. Just let the two friends play stupid decks. It's all still Yu-Gi-Oh as long as they're being creative.
I will always be team Cimoooooo. My hate towards floodgates in general is what makes me dislike these types of duels.
If you think Makyura FTK is anywhere as close as this, you are out of your mind. At least Makyura was a stupid deck that he only did for one episode. It was not going to stick around and for being a FTK it was hilarious to watch, making the episode one of the best in the season. This deck Cimo brought is just stun turbo to make the game as slow and unwatchable as possible. I am not in any of the Cimo or Gage camp. I frankly find this group thing beyond stupid and honestly, any reasonable player would share my opinion.

@GeneralNickles he said Gage summoning the token was fine and waited for a long time but as soon as Gage went to battle instead of trying to summon a Dragon Ruler Cimo took back his okay and suddenly said he had a response to the token and then snapped at Gage for shotgunning when the token had been on the field for awhile at that point
It's basically established at this point cheating in game doesn't matter.
Like did we just forget Gage cheating last episode with Tidal? Or using gadgets off of goblindberg? Etc.

As cool as they are i think metamorphosis is winmore and cosr is probably as well if cimo is going to play this kind of deck. foolish is probably redundant as long as the baby rulers are at multiples. its pretty unfortunate that gage didnt get redox because it would make cards like card trooper so much better (esp with debris) and the other side decked ophion outs like grand mole and exiled force have more synergy.

I just don't see why we're defending uninteractive decks full of floodgates in a series marketed specifically on the idea that a unique banlist and cardpool will allow for interesting gameplay. A lot of us here hardly qualify "my opponent can't play the game" turbo as interesting
@@IrrelevantOaf Same, i would massively prefer Ruler mirrors over this dogshit stun fiesta. Making everyone have to watch through these awful slow non-games that we have to sit through. Dragon Rulers mirrors at least have a measure of back and forth strategizing, which makes them quite interesting to watch. Maybe not for like 3 or more episodes, but it is absolutely better than this.

Like why even bother using raigeki break on a monster that's essentially a vanilla? Gage's deck is filled with 2500+ beatsticks that can be special summoned at the drop of a hat. Gage played this game so poorly. He deserved to lose. He's a buffoon for not keeping all that removal for floodgates and backrow.
I do love when MBT just says such confidently incorrect statements like that vanities wasn’t “known” until 2016 when it basically was a consistently played card in every format after Hoban won 2013 Nats.
