      I know.
      20-30 minutes to back in business.
      First time in 10 years I have lost a track out there.

    I have mentioned before about the hight of your stumps and that's what happens plus landowners would not be happy about tonnage loss with high stump being left but still like the channel.

      I am always trying to cut them as low as possible.
      The spruce trees have a big swelled but -
      This area was originally logged 55 years ago.
      The stumps left from the last loggers clearcut are over 6’ height! - up above my head.
      Springboard notches in the stumps.
      The stumps are still here - not totally rotten away after 55 years.
      I’ll keep cutting them lower!
      You will see us logging yellow cedar soon, and we cut them right flat almost to the ground.

      @secondgrowthhomes I look forward to that but we cut the root flares off first then fell them exactly the same as hardwoods and there's zero waste and branches are used to carpet under tracks easy peasy and save harshness on the machine and the operators.
