    Hello! In this video you mentioned that you have a wood mizer lt40. Would like to hear your comparison between wood mizer and mobile dimension as far as cutting 2x4 or 2x6s. Seems that you run both for a while that's why your opinion would be valuable. Thanks in advance. Ps. Just left a message on your answering machine. Looking forward to hear or see a video

    I believe it would hold a lot better with the screws in the valley, the same as you would do with a tin roof with screws! I like the way you did your roof! I've put down a lot of tin roofs, but never a poly one.

    • @secondgrowthhomes
      @secondgrowthhomes 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Roger Roger That is how we do it. Screw it down in the valley's, where the plastic is tight on the wood. Just like with Delta Rib Metal Roofing - And trust the Neoprene washer screws, just like with the Delta Rib. The only issues I have with the plastic roofing is when we used the wood "wiggle Molding" - the molding isnt perfect, so the plastic gets held up off the roof deck, and the screws washers dont set flat and hard. I asked a guy about it, and this is what he said they do commercially with this product. And I believe it. And I have since done it this way with no issues.

      These are personal use trees Alaska residents get to harvest up to 10,000 board feet for their own use. These are in the tongass national forest - Federal forest service land.

      You are most welcome. These are humpbacks, bubble feeding. You have to wait and wait for the bubble feed to happen, and when it happens it last just 2-3 seconds. They are hard to film since you dont know quite where the whales are going to pop up. This is a huge, beautiful, feeding, pod of humpbacks in southeast alaska.

    Thanks for sharing your install! Takes a lot of effort to document and share, so I appreciate it! As I've just done an install (DIY) some notes for anyone else installing Palram SunTuff polycarbonate sheets: - Minimum slope is 1.5" over 12" - Purlin spacing can be from 16" up to 36" depending on required load support. Always use sheet of plywood across at least 3 support members when traversing the roof. - Use appropriate flashing (side ridge, wall connector, counter, etc) at connection points - Use, at least, horizontal closure strips to allow for screwing roof sheets at the crown of ribs (ridges/hills) rather than in the valleys which can leak - Screws should be placed along purlins at the crown of every other rib (and at every rib if in high wind area) - Always make sure to pre-drill all screw holes using 1/4" bit. This hole is actually wider than shaft of screws and intentionally allows for sheet expansion/contraction. - Place EPDM screws (e.g. WoodTite) using a screw gun (e.g. like for drywall) or a drill with low clutch setting. Do not use an impact driver! Screw and its washer should be snug, not compressed at all. - For additional water tightness, only specific sealant (polycarbonate compatible) may be used along connection points of sheets. Manufacturer recommends only 100% silicon sealants as other sealants/adhesives often contain a solvent that may damage the polycarbonate sheets. For white roofs, I have used Henry's 884 Tropi-Cool white 100% silicon roof sealant caulk, but for my project with clear sheets, I'm using GE Supreme Silicone Caulk Window and Door Sealant Clear (model: 2814816) Ref: images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/0f/0f8191b5-f9ec-4080-bc12-84dc04df3bbd.pdf

    • @secondgrowthhomes
      @secondgrowthhomes 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It is a newer model rifle. Savage changed the 22/410 to the selector on the hammer. They changed it because this model was a bit weak. Mine actually broke, and I was able to eventually rebuild it. They make a kit to change the rifle i have to the hammer selector like you have! I could lookup the year they changed to the hammer selector. It should be better than the original type.

      I am always trying to cut them as low as possible. The spruce trees have a big swelled but - This area was originally logged 55 years ago. The stumps left from the last loggers clearcut are over 6’ height! - up above my head. Springboard notches in the stumps. The stumps are still here - not totally rotten away after 55 years. I’ll keep cutting them lower! You will see us logging yellow cedar soon, and we cut them right flat almost to the ground.

      @secondgrowthhomes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Bud With this boat - and 9.9 hp We can just get up on plane - with 2 adults - 2 kids - 1 golden retriever dog. It takes a bit to get up on plane - but once it is on plane I generally need to slow down. I would say 9.9 is about perfect to plan with 2 people in this boat. It struggles a bit to get up on step - but then really travels along. I am hoping for my growing family to go 1 size bigger - maybe 13-14’ - with a 15hp.
