    Glad to see you did the front lift correct! Too many people just put lift springs in and keep the oe arms. With the long arms you get a better ride as well as more suspension travel!

    Lifting an xj will never get old, if I could pick one vehicle for the rest of my like a lifted xj is definitely the one!

    Looks like a really rugged set up Dave, very rugged and strong. Once you get the wheel alignment done and new tires that Jeep should handle MUCH better. 👍💯

    Riv nuts are nice to use but I would be a little weary on using them to hold the crossmember vertically. Wonder what the tolerances are on those.

    Enjoying your series on the Jeep. Can't wait to see the Durango Hellcat in paint. Since Trevor also just moved his shop, are you guys sharing the junkyard or is he at a different one?

    I would def put those through bolts on the crossmember/radius arms. Youll rip those nutserts out

    learned something new today: rivnuts, awesome!!

    • @dodgeguyz
      @dodgeguyz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are great, until they spin. Then you will curse them. Would much rather weld in a sleeve and use a long nut and bolt!

    • @claysmell
      @claysmell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dodgeguyz yup I know how they suck, just never knew what they were called before today. my old 93 CBR900RR used rivnuts in the aluminum frame to secure the seat. first time I went to pull the seat, one bolt had corroded every so slightly and it spun inside the frame. weight saving is great until that happens

    I'd just rattle can that rear skid plate. If it gets scratched you can just spray it again when you get home. Way cheaper and easier than powder coating.

    You should have marked the pitman arm of the old one. Maybe the swaying is that the new one is slightly off.

    Dave, love your channel and content..
    Maybe it's just me on how I'm viewing it but do the pinion angle on the rear driveshaft looks a bit cattywampus ? Shouldn't the angle on both rear universal joints from trans and rear end be somewhat the same? How will this angle be affected while driving off road? Will this angle cause vibration on the hi-way, just asking for a friend.

    Put this lift on my xj 3 years ago, 1 wheeling trip and I realized that rough country shocks are trash and I destroyed a rear lca joint, tried to rebuild the rear joints on the lca's but rough country will only sell the whole joint......so i swapped to curry johnny joints. Other than those 2 things this lift has been great

    Could have done without the wind at the end of the video, but there;s no controlling the weather. Here in Queensland Australia, we are getting so much rain again that they are warning of more floods.
