When I ordered mine, a while back, I went for the soft bed and the ergo base. But because they apparently ran out of stock of both, I got upgraded to the soft "premium" bed and the ergo "extend" base. You've no idea how happy I was. :) I'm so happy with the 4 massage motors instead of the two that I was already excited for. 😆
Sooooo the 4 zone massage is stronger than 2 zone cause it has more motors. The massage has an automatic timer of 30 minutes. The Ergo extend has the perfect seat feature. It articulates completely different than the ergo. It pulls apart the middle as it moves up. This creates a ‘bucket seat’ type feature that is more ergonomical than the typical way the ergo, ease and every other base moves.
My wife and I just bought our first tempur pedic (pro adapt firm split king) paired with the ergo base. It's only been a week but I don't think I've had a better nights sleep than what I'm getting now.
Awesome review. I actually sell those I work for Ashley home store in New Jersey. Just wanted to comment about the Velcro strip. The reason Tempur-pedic doesn’t want to use that Velcro strip is because they don’t want unnecessary “stress” to the mattress. Mathematically, it lasts longer. For those who don’t know, NASA invented temper/memory foam material.
Never buy one from Ashley as they did a bait and switch on us without knowing. Ended up delivery us an Ashley base instead and now have problems with it. Found out that we never received the TempurPedic / Sealy that we originally ordered and they don't want to work with getting us what we actually purchased. Unethical business.
Had not thought about an adjustable frame, till now....when in the hospital, I really love being able to raise my head and feet......so.....now I just may look further into getting one once I decide on which mattress...thanks for the review
Yes to the Ergo. I need that massager in my life for those extra stressful days in retail. Did you just reference “Pimp my Ride”. 😂 Great review Jeff!!!
I am buying the ergo and the 3.0 tomorrow at Ashley. Just bought the Lux Breeze Soft. What a treat after sleeping on a 18 1/2 year old Temperpedic that still pretty solid. I think I can get another 8-10 years out of that thing in the guest room. If you only want to spend your money one time go with a Temperpedic and treat yourself to the adjustable base.
Appreciate the review, this is my first bed purchase as well as adjustable base purchase and I went with the Ergo just because I knew that the Ergo Extend had features that I potentially didn’t care about like you mentioned and it looks like I made a good choice! I also went with the Tempur-pedic Hybrid King mattress and an additional bed frame around the base. Can’t wait to test it out when it arrives in 3 to 6 weeks because of COVID LOL
How to obtain shorter legs for my king tempur pedic adjustable base? Was given 9inch legs and just too tall.. 1/2 coarse thread #13.. can’t seem to locate the interchangeable legs.. people need to be ware of this issue..
The underbed light is great for bathroom trips or when my husband is sleeping and I come in at 2am due to my delayed sleep phase circadian sleep disorder. I have no clue how the super expensive bases differ from the store brand I got three years ago, but my heads sinks a tad lower than the rest of the base now. 😮😡 (maybe he kids jumping on the bed??)I had broken down Chewy boxes under my mattress to level it out. Love the zero gravity for sciatic flare ups and post op recuperation. It's also supposed to be good for intimacy 😜.
Very nice review . Don’t know if it’s the same type of frame base but I just got one that has s sound scape mode I haven’t receive the it but I’m very excited. You were excellent doing the review . Thank you
Downside to USB plugs being under the base is then you cannot see them to plug your charging cord into. You’d have to do it by feel. That would annoy me.
Isn’t it interesting that in 2021, two years after this review many of the same matters you discuss such as a rising mattress in the footbed continue to be at issue today? In addition I would like adjustable base manufacturers to offer more comprehensive warranties and or replacements on the parts that regularly break down? For example the motors and remotes.
Does this adjustable frame take up any more room than the size of the bed itself? My bed is already in tight quarters so I was wondering if more space would be needed when in use
The extend also has a feature that separates the top and bottom when reclined. I really was looking forward to hearing about that. To see if it helps with comfort and the smart sensors were not discussed. I bit disappointed on the 2 main features weren't discussed
I'm pretty sure they weren't discussed because they are newer features that have been added since this review was done. I too was wanting to hear about the perfect seat feature and if it is worth the extra expense.
Curious if any of the options tilt in a way that you remain in line with your nightstand? Seems like most tilt forward as opposed to tilting, yet scooting up the headboard so you don’t lose the nightstand. Hopefully someone has an answer. Thanks
Is the surface solid? Can I just place a tempa pedic mattress topper on it and skip the matress? I been sleeping on just the matress topper it's been fine.
would like to know the difference between Ease 2.0 and 3.0 and would like to understand how to understand how to compare angles of the position (some say 70degrees others say 56-what is best and lastly. If constant bending of your mattress will hurt your mattress at all
The 3.0 is lighter. The 3.0 has 12 inch legs 2.0 has 9 inch legs. The retainer bar at the foot of the bed is black on the 3.0 and silver on the 2.0. Both remotes will work either base.
Adjustable base is the move. Never will I ever not have one. Just to watch TV in bed (comfortably ) is a wonderful perk, not to mention the health benefits
I’m torn between this one but the new smart ergo or the purple bed frame.. you said the purple has best massage how does this one compare to the massager on the purple base? Please advise?
I am just starting to look for an adj bed frame and mattress queen size bed. Thanks to You Tube videos like yours i have a good place to start to self educate myself before i go to any stores to look at any. I look at videos discussing the best or top 5 or 10 beds and no two reviewers are alike. If you buy bed frame and a mattress from the same seller do they typically ship and set them up for you, or are you pretty much on your own? I am very old and not sure i can wrestle a large mattress anymore! Good video. Thanks.
I’d get the base model, that’s what we have. The massage feature just vibrates, not truly a massage. I think it’s a gimmick that you won’t really use often after the novelty wears off. I’m a massage therapist so trust me that massage feature isn’t going to do much for you. Anyways best part of the adjustable frame is really the ability to elevate your legs to relieve back pressure, or raise the head to watch TV.
@@saucers79 I brought it for my mother because the hospital bed she recieved from hospice was a little uncomfortable.. so far no complaints about her new bed.

You guys are the best. I'm thinking the temperpedic is just too expensive. Most others offer an adjustable base as well if I decide I really need that?!
Hey slumber yard I love all your videos! I recently purchased a adjustable Base from Lucid and had to return it because there are so many exposed wires and electrical parts underneath the bed. Hello there, liked the review. I am looking for an adjustable bed for two that my wife and I can adjust separately. I am also 6’2” and weigh 280lbs, she’s 5’7” and weighs 145lbs. What mattress would you recommend? Thanks for any advice.

Supposed to fit inside the bed frame ,I hope so because I just ordered 1 of the split king the basic model I believe. The sales man told me it just fits inside the bed frame??? Will see. It better !!!
It will fit. They will work with both panel and platform beds. On panel beds you simply adjust to the height you need to fit in the frame. With platforms you remove the legs completely. Either way it will work with MOST* existing bed frames. Hope that helps
