Have been staring at this camera online and stores for weeks now... I first started shooting instax with the zinstax back for my RZ and now really want to try something smaller. Thanks for a great review!
I got this camera as my first instax camera after wanting one since I was a teenager. The lack of control that cameras before it gave kept me from pulling the trigger. I started looking into them again recently because I had a friend coming to visit and it sounded cute for us to both have pictures to keep after. Perfect timing for this to come out, right? I've been having so much fun with it! I took so many pictures with my friend over the trip, and now I take the camera with me everywhere. There really is something so special about instant photography. I haven't even played much with the bulb and multiple exposure modes, so I know theres so much more left to discover... I don't want to think about how much I've already spent on film, though. If they made a wide 99, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'm glad you're also having fun with this camera! Your photos with it inspire me to get more creative with it
@@TheRandomcatlover I'm so glad this camera has been working for you! It's a lot of fun, and the level of control is great for saving money on frames haha. I was reaaaallly hoping they would come out with a wide version this year. We may still see it in the near future!

After your video about the Instax Mini Evo, which made me buy an Instax mini evo, came your video about the Instax mini 99, which probably made me want an Instax mini 99.
Now you have done it Yvonne. I just got a Mini 99 and absolutely love it. And it is your fault in the first place for showing me this particular Instax is a thing that exists.
@@YvonneHansonPhotography It is such a great toy, it really is rather unique. (And I say that as someone who does analog 135, 120 _and_ digital mirrorless photography.) I also love how you can experiment with double exposures and immediately see what worked and what didn't. Your advice was really great too, I took a backlit image of my gf today over some blooming peas, it came out very beautiful. 💜
I’ve been waiting for your take on this camera! I’ve had it since it launched and it’s become my favourite of the mini cameras because of all the things you mentioned. (I also got great images out of the mini Evo, but totally agree with you on how disappointing the double exposure mode is on the mini Evo when compared to the mini 99). Great videos as always!
Must admit I am intrigued by these Instax cameras, although I think I would have to lean towards the hybrid one though. But I do like the look of the Mini 99’s features. 👍📸
I need this but in square format. Although I think I will buy this one as my first instant camera. PS: That thousand shots wall of yours almost discouraged me, it's like 1,500 USD in film (the double pack of minis is around 30 USD where I live) I see myself either being veeeeery careful with what I shoot or going broke in a couple of months XD
I've been going back and forth all week on getting this or a Wide 400 and ultimately settled on the 99 due to the options / controls, smaller size of the camera and the cheaper price of mini film. I've been fairly annoyed by the forced flash on my Mini 8+ for the better part of a decade so continuing that fight with the Wide 400 sounds a little annoying as much as I am tempted by the larger format. And..."FG" will forever be Frog Green thanks to your video! Bahahah.

FYI, SeePeaA mode is great for taking shots of the bathroom floor.
Now I have to go out and try double exposures.
The camera is not my cup ot tea, however you are a great presenter. You videos are always top of the line!

The fact that they didn't diffuse the LEDs and you can clearly see 4 distinct spots of light, seems pretty bad.
