20 is max skill level, = 20 summons, if you have item, equip to add skill level, it goes beyond 20 skill level and the maximum number you can summon is how much total skill level u get. it's only possible using cheat to make custom item such as.. use the smallest charm and have +7 skill level to all skills, 1 inventory slot per 7 skill level = how many skill level you got
i7-950, 6gb ram, a gt 740. This was recorded like 10 years ago, so that was pretty good at the time x3 Diablo 2 is notorious for running at odd framerates, and here it is being pushed to the limits of the game

Yeah, but the legendary ring for double skeletal mages runed for maximum damage combined with the ultimate that doubles all spells makes for a wild boss melter.
That's just the way the game level scales the skill. The first few levels get you an extra skeleton per level, but as you get more levels, you get fewer and fewer skeletons per so many levels. In fact, by level 99, you only get 35 skeletons. It is technically possible to have level 99 all skills "legit" by having a charm that gives +1 to +7 all skills, and have an inventory full of them, which I did do on a version of this hack before I made this video. However, I don't know that any such charm normally drops in the game. But, that's the whole fun of the hack, isn't it? ;)
Want to know fun fact? - Single skeleton dmg - about 4k x 35 total ~ 140k (uncontrollable) pdmg - Mages are shitty so they are skipped (very slow attack speed, slow projectile and so on) - Revived last long for 2 min, though they are on lvl 99 - u never going to have all 99 of them. - Fire golem absorbs 102% of fire dmg and inflict about 3k fire dmg. lol ***Single teeth - about 13k x 24 teeth ~ 312k (controllable) mdmg.*** ***Bone spear - about 59k dmg*** ***Bone spirit - about 48k dmg*** Conclusion: ur better caster than summoner.
I used a program called Hero Editor which basically let's you hex edit your save and insert items, revive dead hardcore characters, set skill levels, hirelings, unlock other stuff, and what not - even make your own items. The program itself does not come with item files though, but you can get those separate. You can get it at moddb and other places. ;)

well, without hacks, each skill limits to 20 levels without use of skill boosting items. I don't really know if there's a legit way to get all summon skills to 20 but let's assume there is especially with items. Revive scales directly with level, so that's 20 right there. level 20 for each Skeleton gives 8 each, so 16. we are up to 36 now. You can have one golem and one hireling, so that's now 38 army size. I'm looking at a skill simulator and it says 83 skill points, which means there's still room to get some basic skills like teeth. Hopefully that answers your question :3
+TydusisTV Oh, thanks for the number crunch. What I think is that you SHOULD feel like your char in the video (all powerful) at the level 99. Given how hard it is to achieve it. But no, you're still pretty weak at lvl 99 without cheats.
if you get the best gear you're not weak at all at level 99. Of course getting to 90-99 without any effort in making runewords or getting gear you won't get a powerful character. A legit character with good gear will basically feel like you see in this video. Trust me, Diablo 2 doesn't need cheats to be fun to play, at all.
I basically made a modded character to see what would happen. The various summons follow a few formulas that determine how many you get. Except for revive, which increases linearly, all the summons give diminishing returns on number of summons per level invested. That's why you can only have 35 of each skeleton.
@@maniac2610-b technically yes, but you would need lots of items that give +X to all skills. One of the ways I made this hacked character was to simply give them an inventory almost full of charms with +7 to all skills. I have no idea if such an item drops normally, but it is a possibility. You can still get quite a lot of summons, as I know that skills can be brought to level 20 via normal means. At level 20 raise skel/mage, you can get I think about 15 skeletons of each type, for a total of 30, and you can get level 20 revive, for 20 revive. You'd have to be at least level 60 to have all the legitimately however.
@@maniac2610-b you'll want to probably farm the cow level or kurast, and you'll be looking for grand charms, specifically ones with the graverobber's prefix 😎
I don't think this is cheats, I think its before the synergy update. Before then 1 skill point = 1 skeleton and they were weak as shit even at 20+ I used to have +18 summoning skill in gear to lag DC people in cow levels because I was a dickhead teenager that thought 100+ useless minions was funny.

Sort of. No game files have been messed with, only the hero file. I used a program to make custom items and adjust stats, but otherwise the game code is working as it would if you some how could naturally achieve 99 skill level.
I've seen eight year olds do this, when diablo 2 was still a ongoing thing in 2005.... this is nothing special.... Its a hero editor program.. just google it.. This is why diablo 2 wasn't just remade with better textures. Kids had to ruin the game.

Blizzard was originally making a "diablo 3" 2 years into the production, and scrapped the entire project because of this issue. You can see various screenshots of what it would have looked like, and to most. it would have been the preferred version of diablo 3. It was scrapped because they wouldn't have any maphack/bot/trainer control, similarly to diablo 2. Which is why diablo 3 was eventually made into a completely different game.
