- “If you land in Tbilisi, you are just 40 kilometres away from a territory which is occupied by Russia. So you are literally in the war zone.”
Protestors in Georgia feel the "constant threat" of Russian shelling due to their proximity to Putin's artillery, says eastern European security expert Sergej Sumlenny.

Many Georgians unfortunately falsely claim that Abhazia was always part of Georgia. It's the same as Russian propaganda about Ukraine. In fact Abhazians are Circassians brethren who suffered catastrophic genocide from Russian in 1870s when more than 95% out of more than 2 millions of Circassian and abhazian population were killed and deported after Circasia and Abhazia lost the war with Russia while Georgia was supporting Russian imperialism at that time. It was only under Stalin rule when Abhazianwas forcefully joined Georgia and about 300 thousands Georgians occupied Abhazia during soviet era. Let Georgians remember that there are 5 million circassian-abhazian diaspora in Turkey and worldwide. Britain supported Circassia and Abhazia at that time, even a few British navy ships were called "Circassia" in the name of their fight for independence.
It i international recognized part of Georgia. Period.
@@edwardhachetl7141 That's funny considering YOU are the Kremlin bot.
Yet they expect the u.k and u.s to stand up to him. So its - we are scared but not prepared to do anything about it
Really? That's your 'comment'? ... David against Goliath.... rings a bell?
@@pjhgerlach In this story, NATO is Goliath.
Yes it is because its a fact. How can Georgia stand up to the brute ? Answer - they cant so it comes down to the u.k and u.s. how much has georgia donated to ukraine ? Maybe they sent a load of stormshadow missiles or a shed load of bradley tanks. Most of europe has nothing because they arent prepared to spread a slice of bread and butter. Fact. @@pjhgerlach
@@reorioOrion In this story Russia is Goliath and NATO is no party in it. Please refrain from lies.
@@pjhgerlach Oh really? -)
It is NATO countries that train Ukrainian troops.
It is the NATO countries that carry out reconnaissance of Russian forces and provide this information to Ukraine.
It is NATO countries that fully provide military support to the Ukrainian army.
It is NATO countries that are waging an economic war against Russia.
It is NATO members who send instructors to Ukraine.
It is the members of NATO countries who are talking about sending their troops to Ukraine.
NATO is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
It's time you stopped lying.
Unthinkable! Just imagine if the UK had had laws like this when Russia was funding the Brexit campaign. Disgraceful!
Absolute nonsense.

Why should this dispute be any business of the British?
Why does Russia occupy 20% of Georgia?
@@foilhat1138Same way Ukraine have already lost 22% of the territory and will lose more.
@@alexanderlazarev3570 Because Russia wanted more land. And its more like 18% of Ukrainian territory, about the same for the past two years.

Project Fear continues at Times Radio.
A complete and blatant lie.
1. a) The Russian law on foreign agents is an analogue of the American law on foreign agents "FARA".
Unlike the American FARA, the Russian law is much more liberal and lenient.
b) The Georgian law on foreign agents does not prohibit organizations from accepting money from abroad and conducting their activities.
It's a lie!
It obliges such organizations to register themselves as a foreign agent (provided that the organization is financed from abroad for a certain percentage)
The penalty for not registering an organization financed from abroad is a fine.
The Georgian law on foreign agents is much softer than the Russian one, which in turn is much softer than the American "FARA"
2. Russia does not occupy 20% of Georgian territory.
Abkhazia and South Ossetia have never considered themselves to be Georgian territory.
During the Soviet era, these were autonomous republics within the Georgian Republic.
In accordance with the Constitution of the USSR, in case of a referendum on secession from the USSR, the republics had to hold this referendum separately from the autonomous republics.
Neither Abkhazia nor South Ossetia have held such referendums.
Georgia illegally occupied these territories as a result of the exclusively Georgian referendum of 1991.
Georgia considers Abkhazia and South Ossetia to be its territory, however, not in fact, nor in the opinion of its residents, they are not such.
In accordance with an agreement with the governments of these republics, peacekeepers of the Russian Federation are stationed in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The peacekeepers are there because Georgia several times launched a war against these republics, trying to subjugate them by force.
The last time Georgia tried to subjugate the republics by force was in 2008, which led to a 5-day war with Russia, in which Georgia suffered a crushing defeat.
Hahahaha how can you pretend Russian laws and actions regarding foreign agents are more liberal than in the US. Yet here you are putting Russian propaganda on a US platform and it is being tolerated (albeit clownish)
Funny how all your comments on this channel are defending russia, which is in fact occupying Georgian territory.
@@MoonBerryShrimp
My comments are not aimed at defending Russia, but at defending the Truth.
The FARA Foreign Agents Act is in effect in the United States..
The statement that the Georgian law on foreign agents was adopted by analogy with the Russian one is 100% false.
Neither South Ossetia nor Abkhazia have ever recognized Georgian authority over them.
Russia cannot occupy the territory of Georgia, which does not belong to it.
There are Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, just as peacekeepers from hundreds of other countries are in hundreds of other countries.
In case you forgot, I will remind you that the 2008 war was started by Georgia, not Russia.
This is the official conclusion of the European Commission of Inquiry into the War for 2008.
They should tell nato countries that they dont want Ukraine to join nato most of the people support being with Russia in Georgia they dont want to be in eu
Not true at all. Georgian support for moving away from Russia and closer to the West is higher than ever before. The demonstrations are gathering tens of thousands of participants for several weeks on end. Georgians know that under Russia they will be reduced to slaves and their culture will be russified/destroyed. Within western sphere of influence, their culture, traditions, language etc will be safe.
Do you realise you are being used by Russia to spread propaganda? Whats your source for this?
@@cmdrcrimboand the west is using Ukraine to its end. The west is not your friend they want the Russian resources. Ukraine is the cheapest way for them to get them.
