  • Are you thinking of starting a car wash? Restoring an abandoned car wash can be a great way to start your own business. This video will show you the true cost of restoring an abandoned car wash and explain why it's such a good investment.
    In this video, we'll show you how to restore an abandoned car wash and make a passive income from the process. We'll also show you how to buy self serve car wash equipment and start your own car wash! This is a great way to start your own business and start making money.
    Last year I took on this project of getting a old abandoned car wash back in business again. One of the biggest questions was how much money do I need to be back in operation again and have a well functioning car wash. Here is a complete breakdown of what I spent on the different items I needed and the full grand total of what it took. Keep in mind that there are lots of different car wash equipment and your going to have to decide between buying brand new vs used. In the end your biggest hurdle will be finding someone that will install and set it up for you if you cant figure it out yourselves.
    At 10,000 subscribers I am going to start revealing the revenue that this car wash has and will be generating and what the profit and loss reports look like. Consider subscribing to The Revestor channel and following along.

    Thank you for the update video. I'm up in Eastern WA State and I'm looking at an abandoned 4 bay on a busy corner lot. I've Been watching your videos since you started posting on this project. I would also be interested in learning more about your cold weather setup and operations. Good luck in 2023 and please keep the videos coming.

    Love the video. I’m looking at a 4 bay self serve wash that has been damaged from a fire. I would need to repair asphalt and get all new equipment. Right on a busy road with 10,000 cars a day going by. It would be the only car wash in town. Just don’t know how to underwrite the deal to know how much to spend.

    Hey I’m looking at buying my first wash soon. But I’m lost when it comes to the business side of things (licensing, finding out why it closed, mortgage, what questions to ask well buying). If you could just give an insight on the process you went through, that would be helpful.

    Wondering what processing system you used for cards as well as what company provided you the bay boxes? Looking into upgrading ours soon and love your layout

      The card reader is a brand called Nayax. Its probably the most modern credit card reader available chip, swipe, apple pay the whole 9 yards. Gary and his team at CustomKraft built the boxes did the layout and designed the decal.

    I know a guy in a town close to me he has a 6 bay car wash and he was doing a complete overhaul new everything and converting one bay into an automatic and his total was $100,000.00+. Now I inherited a four bay ss carwash but it has no equipment or anything and another 2 bay ss carwash with 2 vacuums. I have done my best to keep it going. I mean it was 50 cents for three min up until about two months ago when I figured out how to change the timer. My husband built them himself but he passed two years ago. The two bay is right on the highway across from the liquor store (last one before entering dry counties). And I am the only one in town so the business is there with great potential for making money. I just don't know what I am doing.

    I'm looking at buying and running a quarter car wash id really like to learn about the chemical side of this how you setup and calibrate how much soap you use etc... I know if its not set up correctly you could go threw a lot of soap and loose a lot of money and product. can you go over that. id also like to see a video of fixing a older 7 selection box mine has those and I will be fixing them replacing the rotary switch etc,,,

    Do you have a ring o matic for cleaning your pits? I found post hole digger works great for it too if doing it by hand. Ours has a side pit with a plate over it that the ring o matic can't get into so I just move the mud to the pit that it can get into.

    What kind of paint did you use? I'm looking at a 4-bay red brick site that needs painting, but I want to use the right kind of paint that will be easy to keep clean. Tnx!

    I wish my local car wash would cater to higher end customers. I’d pay double to be able to connect my own spray gun and be able to fill up a 5 G. bucket

    • @therevestor
      @therevestor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a higher start price and ultimately that does drive away low end customers that cause the most problems at my wash

    You really should have replaced the entire asphalt. The break even payoff would have been 5, maybe 10 years.
