    I liked everything about the wallets except for the stitching - specifically the end of the stitching where the thread ends were melted. Those two spots in the front corners and the back corners really detract from the overall look of the wallets. There's a lot of care and attention in making these, but I feel the finish on the stitching is visually distracting.

      The sewing machine belongs in a museum. It's about the same as the $100 Chinese sewing machine. Hand stitch it until you can afford a Cobra or equivalent. The rest is awesome.

      I use a low setting for engraving (between 20 and 50% power - depending on the image and leather), but I also edit the images to be quite light. I would suggest making a test grid with different image intensities and power on the other axis to get the optimal engraving settings

      @Induku  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. The outer leather piece is 23 x 9.5 cm and the inner piece is 22 x 9 cm. The inner smaller to create a lip but more important is the width. It is 1 cm narrower to make it possible to fold. I had to make a few test pieces to get this right and it would be different for different types of leather. But for 3 mm ox-hide 1 cm allows 2 pieces to fold flat within each other.

    Those look great man, nice work on the engraving. Can you tell me what power and speed you used to do the engraving? I have a leather notebook that I want to engrave a design to the front. Thanks

      I am not sure how well the settings will translate between machines but here is what I use. I have a 40W Epilog. I engrave at 90% speed and 20% power on this type of leather (sometimes I push the power up to 30%). BUT I always test a small piece first - the variation between different types of leather or even within one piece can have a big effect on how much power is needed.

    Все супер, но машинный шов очень некрасиво смотрится. Гравировка, шов машинкой, подкладка, и все это уже не ручная работа. Это уже поставлено на поток и без души.
