Great practical insight. I could definitely relate. I've been preaching for 46 years and saw my first marriage end after 48 years. By God's grace, I have recovered. I worked very hard on helping my kids get through the mess. Only God could pull us through some of these troubled waters. The shame and feeling unworthy to serve presented learning opportunities to grow. I have remarried and found happiness with a precious lady that loves my kids and they love her. To God be the glory!
No judgement. I am a divorced woman. Recently I heard this on a Christian video. It said: marriages don’t fail, people do. And It is true. It was Kirk Cameron on his show Takeways. Someone once told him that. Great show with great guests who talk about relevant things people go through.
Thank you pastor for your transparency. People need to hear that . Just because you are a pastor . That doesn’t mean you are perfect. But by the grace of GOD . GOD doesn’t use perfect people. But people who depend on him for there insufficiencies .

Dealing with a child who has an addiction is no easy task in the world we live in today. Parents of drug addicts need to mentor each other. Shed light on the disease and pray together for our children. The Lord is waiting for us to stop hiding in shame and start stepping out on the promises of God. Could you imagine all the parents of drug addicts coming together to fight for our children? This message has inspired me. Thank you again for being real and sharing. I respect you both immensely.

People forget that our pastors are human first and we need to support them in prayer and personal support. They are not perfect; if anything, they are imperfect and have the same vulnerabilities as we do. I was really concerned about them and Pastor Ben as well. Jentezen and Chaise were the parents of their daughter, and the father-in-law of a fantastic pastor and preacher - Ben Prescott. What a tough spot in which to find themselves, loving their daughter and being there for her, as well as Ben.....I still pray for all of them. May God bless our pastors and may we alway be there to support them in our prayers.

We recently left a church because they spent a good portion of their messages on each Sunday bashing other ministers and ministries. I tried to explain to the pastor that as Christians we need to pray for others, that they need us. I also explained the gospel is not preaching what is wrong with everyone else, there is no gospel in that. The final straw was when they put our beliefs and mentors on the church screen and said people that believe these things should not be allowed in our homes. We were done at that point.
