Mid-Autumn Festival is always sumptuous scenically and vocally. I won't argue about Dimash's vocal superiority over anyone. He's the best in the world. Everyone knows that. But... Huang Xiao Yun, coming from opera too, is capable of surprising high notes. His role in this song didn't allow us to see it, but there is another Dimash / Xiao Yun duet more operatic and really spectacular, released three weeks ago: "Red Moon Rules".
Really not keen on that performance as she absolutely upstaged him when it was supposed to be his song. But she clearly suggested a song that would favour her voice.

Be aware that Dimash has no control over the choice of partners and songs in big shows (except maybe in some games or contests). The prediction of the famous Hua Chenyu in singer 2020 who said that it would be the future of Chinese music is starting to come true.

They want to build up Huang with Dimash on stage. I prefer to listen to his voice alone. There are few exceptions. He has songs where he accompanies himself. Dimash is at his best at his own concerts. Free and powerful like a bird without borders and very entertaining.
I agree, they do seem to be using Dimash to push her forward lately. Luckily Dimash seems to have signed with a new Canadian music promotion company so hopefully we'll see him moving more into the west soon.

Dimash had a difficult time to pronounce Chinese words, especially long phrases, so Huang took care of that so Dimash can do his free style which was a highlight of the song.
