Jenny, I'm so excited for your first anniversary in Hidalgo and even happier about the new beau! I hope you are enjoying a well-deserved feeling of accomplishment.

If you go back to tlaxcala city, I would really like to see the tianguis. Haha. I would like to visit tlaxcala next trip. :)

I asked about HOA, now you mentioned Maintenimiento, is it the same thing, right? Basically you pay some Maintenimiento monthly and get amenities somehow shared among a community, does that Maintenimiento exist in your community? Is it easier to get friendships with local seniors than same aged groups? 🎉
Mexicans are really the hard working people, I heard China has a saying of “996” means you work from 9am till 9pm and 6 days a week, are most Mexicans working in such similar crazy schedule?

I didn't mention mantenamiento. Are you referring to a different video? But yes, it's simiilar to an HOA fee, which I do not have. I'm finding it easier to make friends with older folks that are retired because their schedule is wide open.

She said she is setting aside money for "home maintenance," which is not the same as "mantenimiento." In general, home maintenance means small repairs that are done occasionally to the house, such as having your gutters cleaned or your windows recaulked. These common types of repairs/maintenance are inevitable, so it's smart of Jenny to get ahead of any future costs by saving now.
