- This is the style of hyperlapse I prefer to do with the osmo pocket 3. It usually turns out much better than what can be done in camera.
If you follow all these tips on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, you will be able to really up your game with this extremely capable camera.
The last tip definitely is my favorite!!

Nice! Traveling this week! Going to give this a shot!
Kudos to Jason for dropping the DJI Pocket 3 Hyperlapse knowledge bomb! 🚀📸 I was out here thinking Hyperlapse was just a fancy coffee order, but now I'm a time-warping filmmaker in the making! ☕⚡ Thanks for unraveling the mysteries, Jason! 🌟 #HyperlapseAwakening #DjiPocketMagic
Awesome tutorial! Thanks, Jason 🙏🏼👍🏼
Thank you 🎉
So good I watched it at normal speed. Most useful was the editing part. It is easy enough to record the footage, but then what. Thank you.
Hope it was helpful
Excellent video. So you don't actually use the "Hyperlapse" mode on the Osmo Pocket 3? Would you consider this method better than the built-in function?
Wonder the same!
Me too.
For all editing software the speed ramp points need to just default on curves. Blows my mind.
That would be nice
Excellent Video! I’ll be saving this one to rewatch again when it comes time to film. I currently make homestead content every now and then and just got the pocket 3 so I’m binging as much about as I can. Im really interested in the dolly zoom effect you did. It looks amazing. I don’t understand how you did it though. You’re walking toward the subject and then zooming in. But it seems like a slow continuous zoom in. On my pocket 3 it’s only 1x or 2x am I missing something? Is there a way to slowly zoom into 2x? Again great video keep the pocket 3 content coming!
@Jason: I really dig your vids already since the OG OP1.. Which I recently sold and replaced with OP3. Question: would this hyperlapse method give better results than the in-camera dedicated hyperlapse mode? What are the pros/cons of using one method or the other?
@03:51 Dolly zoom shot looked cool!
Haha, I liked that voice today - voiceover King 🙂 Bought myself the Pocket 3 and love it! Thanks for this tutorial and (late) congrats on 100K Jason!
Haha thank you very much
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema You won't forget us Muggles when you reach 1M, right?
Great stuff
Thank you very much
So good bro, I must have missed it but did you use Hyperlapse mode? Or just standard
thanks for great sharing 😍😍
Thank you
Hey mate, how do you zoom in and out during the hyperlapse? I can’t work it out
How to Zoom on HYPERLAPSE tho ?? great video
Hello, thanks for sharing your interesting video.
I need to understand something with my new Pocket 3. No, I added a Freewell filter and now when I turn it off, the camera lens no longer rotates as before but stops halfway, and the lens is no longer protected. If I remove the filter everything goes back to normal. How can I solve it? Maybe I need to reset the gimbal in the Menu? Thank you.
cool!
What intervals do you set when recording?
Nice work mate, I shoot a lot of time-lapses & hyperlapes with my Sony cameras the standard way with a series of raw photos.I haven’t got a dji pocket 3 yet.🤗👍👌🥰
Painful 😂😂
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema painless actually with LrTimelape & Davinci Resolve! 🤪
Never discussed during recording to hit the lower left, "1X" to change hyperlapse to normal and again to put back in hyperlapse, within the same recording.
On a tripod can i zoom in on the hyperlapse viewpoint?
Great video. Did you use nd filters?
Not this time round. Footage would look much better with ND filters
Sad you were late to the party. Still using my pocket 1 and wish i saw this 4 years ago.
I had an original video of the hyperlapse with a pocket 1 about 3-4 years ago
I'm glad that you stepped out of just doing Sonys
My first non-Sony in a long time. Well, except for the drones. DJI does those well too.
I’m heavily invested in Sony ecosystem that’s why I produce a lot of Sony content
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema me too. Over $10k worth. And I don’t earn money off the gear. Just a hobby.
Using active track is good for linear hyperlapses but for 360 degrees hyperlapse, active track fails to track the whole video... So any solution to this?
Pocket 3 is a game changer and a Sony Killer...lol
Hahaha certainly zv vlogging camera killer for sure
Only if the photo specs would be better too… but honestly it’s worth ~ $500 (base kit) just to start vlogging during traveling and shooting these hyper lapses, makes creating so much easier and less “disturbing” in busy areas I guess.
Whoa that’s a high claim, but I agree that the pocket 3 is a game changer
@@rocknflip66 I was kidding. I like to mess with Jason
Oh. I thought this was going to be a Pocket 3 hyperlapse tutorial but it seems to be 90% about Premiere Pro hyperlapse functions, which in my case I do not have, and the references to the Pocket 3 could be about the P2 or P1 for that matter I suspect. Still, some useful general tips about the creative side can be gleaned, thanks.
All of this is applicable to other software programs but are named differently. Apply the basic fundamentals I am teaching and results will be the same
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Well, you have inspired me to try it in the program I usually use these days, namely VideoProc Vlogger. But please do not tell anyone that I use that freeware... and if the result is not a disaster I will upload it and credit your channel with the inspiration.
