Dude, learn how to save steam 😅 you can run this loco at 20 or 25% cut off (reverser) and 40 or less throttle and haul anything, while keeping your steam pressure up. As your pressure falls, so does your speed.
Maybe it's a stupid question, but what exactly is the reverser? Is it a mechanical gear principal or a pressure valve or something in that direction? I just try to understand 😅, you seem to have knowledge about this 😋.

You generally give locomotives full valve travel starting off, and then cutting off the travel as the loco gains speed
Your better off getting this version if you get the pc version of train sim world 4 cars float above the road and if there is a hill they merge into the road and sometimes they are seen driving on the sidewalk the train goes under bridges that it shouldn't be able to because the cargo crates are stacked to high that part of the bridge is not solid so you see the top cargo crate going through the bridge
I like playing this type of games and was lucky enough to be given a PS5 for free. I got myself Train Life.. Comparing both games one thing that strikes me as a negative to me.. The PS5 versions of the games have a significant lack of scenery compared to the PC versions of the games... It just looks to much like an arcade game..

It's a Stanier Class 8F. Freight varient with a different 2-8-0 arrangement with smaller driving wheels over the more commonly known 2-6-0 with larger drivers
