Just south of Eufaula, AL is the White Oak Creek COE campground on the Walter F. George Reservoir. With 130 camp sites and most directly on the lake, this campground is all about swimming, boating, fishing and just relaxing. But come prepared, this campground has ants that will invade your RV so put something around each tire, jack stand, power cord and hose to prevent the ants form coming in.
A large number of the campsites are walk-in only and can not be reserved and we found that some of the better sites are the walk-ins. Each sites has 30/50 amp power, water, picnic table, fire ring and concrete pads.
Some more environmentally friendly ant preventions are: Comet, Baby Powder, or Borax sprinkled on the ground. I like to soak cotton balls in a borax, sugar and water solution, then place the cotton balls near the ants (1.5 Cups water, 1/2 Cup sugar and 1.5 Tbsp Borax).
