Connections 402 - NYT Word Game - 17 July 2024

The New York Times is back with another new daily word game, Connections! This is heavily inspired by "The Wall" from the BBC quiz show Only Connect. You must sort the sixteen given words into thematically appropriate groups of four--and you only have a few opportunities for error! I don't know if I'll be solving this every day but I'm giving it a shot for now at least. We'll see how it goes. Let me know how you like it!

OMG! Chris, I'm a recent sub and I love your channel, I idolise you as a superior being able to solve these things so quickly that I struggle so hard on occasion. I immediately got the presidents too and was pretty proud of it as a non-native, non-american English speaker who always struggles with connections.

Im a Brit and that was the first thing i guesssed. Seemed obvious to me, as soon as i saw Bide and Nix those names sprang to mind. OTOH in the past some other blindingly obvious (in retrospect) connections have passed me by completely 😂
