Weld a cage that fits the shaft. Lower and lift it with a speed controlled electic motor run by a generator. Sick if hearing about this nonsense. Getting them out will cost pennies compared to what is stolen from us on a dayly basis. This could have been done so many days ago. Dont stand around and talk. Do! Those who dont want to come back up can stay, those who want to come up and face the law, just bloody get them out of there already. Its like kids with learning disabilities are in charge here or what?
If there are any experts to share their opinion on my question please may they do so. I want to ask if the illegal miners will be charged for the rescue? I remember there was a man who tried to jump a park fence to take a short cut and he got stuck and cut by the barbwire. They had to bring a scissor lift because the fence was high, the Municipal invoiced him because they had to loan it from a Window cleaning company and then had to get the fire department to also help. This operation with these zama zamas is clearly an expensive operation to run 24/7 so my question is who foots the bill, can they be fined individually?
They will not be charged for any cost. That would be a waste of court time. The rescue does not have to cost that much. It could have been done already if one competent person was in charge.
Please South Africa, forgive our people, we are just the same as you South Africans, our people just trying to earn a living and this mines were abandoned anyway, coming after our people wont't create more jobs for South Africans, but industrialization and improving the manufacturing sector will create more opportunities,,abandoned mines don't create any jobs for citizens of South Africans
"Abandoned anyway" read your comment and try to understand what you are saying! Your people must tell their leaders to industrialize and improve the manufacturing sector at home to create more opportunities so they don't have to go and jump their neighbors fence to steal under the guise of hunger or poverty. The same way we have told our leaders that we want the rules to be followed to attract investment and to ensure that our people are taken care of before others, we are obligated to fight to ensure that our country does not end up like the rest of Africa we have no choice or we will also find ourselves victims in another mans country

You cant enter illegally then take resources illegally and use illegal weapons against legal locals and assume being hungry is your validation. You abandoned your country letting the wrong people lead by being here is the real excuse and legal locals shouldnt have to deal with this agenda.

What is happening at the Margaret Shaft...??? I am reading many miners have already made the walk to this working shaft & come up & out....
This is where the old borders of Lesotho used to be before they were changed by the colonizers
These people will not be jailed, just be sent home. What is your point?
Lesotho is a colonial construct, your point makes no sense.
@@sandilekhumalo9757 my point is, no punishment. Just come out....
@@sandilekhumalo9757 You mean there was no Lesotho before the colonizers got here? And what was the Sand River Convention meant to address?
