If you’re a fan of firebrand archer you should slot in Kessig Flamebreather. Same cost, same effect, but it’s a 1/3 so you can attack to trigger Ob and it doesn’t die to bowmasters easily
I think Soot Imp is a better card than Urabrask in this. I split pingers between what opponents trigger, and what I trigger. Don't want to be too much dependant on either in my list.
Doomsday is one of the jankies and toughest combos to pull off. If you like them, great, but I've never chosen to play them since they require six cards to pull off. Best of luck, though! ;p
I agree that Thermo-Alchemist is a turn too slow to trigger Ob Nixilis. BUT.. Kessig Flamebreather is a duplicate of Firebrand Archer. Also, considering that you play 31 instant/sorcery spells, Electrostatic Field could be an option. Sweet deck, I might test it out.
Also two things worth mentioning since I am testing this commander since three weeks already -currently best commander to create lines with Hoarding Broodlord, since it says ANY spells you cast from exile has convoke. You can do entomb reanimate with two open colorless fetch saw in half, duplicate it, get Burnt Offering and All will be one, you can cast the latter and have 4 mana to spare at least so you can ping somehow and trigger the loop (do your math) -Sunscorched Desert is PHENOMENAL (besides being a wincon with worldgorger dragon but I am not slotting it) -as others mentioned Kessig Flamebreather is the superior pinger, and also never forget that dockside too attachs for one -you can go infinite with dualcaster mage through Saw in Half aswell -you forgot to mention Mount Doom and also Shivan Gorge. Both are fine as heck. -also we have a line through Lion's Eye Diamond, Breach, and Wheel of Fortune on top of being able to loop any wheel with bowmasters in play, kederekt, and even underworld dreams (why not). And possibly defense grid up. -Necessary to mention that Praetor's Grasp and Tainted pact are a seven mana wincon through getting someone else's Oracle. -Deck is so slim with three very strong wincon already such as dualcaster, all will be one, and tainted pact+grasp, that I am considering cutting bolas citadel with top. Allowing for more relaxed Ad Nauseams. Considering to take the BadDog path and slot in Skirk Prospector and Gleeful demolition (red dark ritual + getting three tappers for hoarding broodlord + looping dockside through breach). -honorable mentions: Bolt Bend, Gutshot, Fire covenant.
Boy this video gave me some great ideas for my ob deck. I'm playing more high power than cedh so I'm gunna try a bit of a different approach and go with an aristocrat/creature variant. I think itll still work pretty great cause all the 1 damage for creatures etb/dieing available in rakdos. Great video and cant wait to go pick up a parasite and see how it does!
It’s most often Jeska’s Will + Dualcaster + Twinflame + Deflecting Swat(?) + whatever. Activate Ob to crack, cast Jeska’s Will to get Dualcaster Twinflame + protection. If you have all will be one in the deck for the same mana as Dualcaster you can All Will Be One combo with double backup (I.e Swat + Pyoblast).
is Rakdos Charm just not good enough here? The 3rd mode where "each creature deals 1 damage to its controller" seems like it would Impulse draw a ton with Ob-Nix
Alas, it doesn’t work that way :( they’ll take a total amount of damage equal to the number of creatures they control rather than separate instances of one damage! It’s very sad

It's probably too slow and doesn't trigger on rocks, treasures, or rituals. The reactive pieces attack card draw and greedy mana bases already for a much lower cmc. That being said, it wouldn't hurt to test.
I've been playing it in EDH with friends, with just a ton of pingers and its one of my fastest decks by far. Seeing this video makes up my mind for what I'll be playing at my next LGS cEDH event after some upgrades.
I just finished building an Bob Nixilis, captivating pings deck. I think its my most fun deck, had to put in a bit more protection, but its crazy now he goes from 4/3 to an 11/10 in one rotation of the turn.
Why doesn't Cal run 'Kessig Flamebreather' it has the exact same text as Firebrand archer, but it's a 1/3 which seems better in this deck than a 2/1???
I love the idea of this guy, but his "draw" power feels more like a disadvantage since opponents can use it against you by making you exile your library. It also forces you to play cards or lose them, screwing with your timing and tempo. I'm more edh than Cedh. Thoughts?
The card advantage Ob provides is such a massive payoff, and is itself a win condition so a pseudo enabler. Commanders that are both enablers and payoffs tend to be nutters. I also like the option to aggressively wheel (typically a bad idea) seeing 28 cards vs opponents 21 as Cal mentioned.

Also the decklist shows 54 noncreature spells rather than the 30 or so that Cal mentions in the podcast, which gives these cards so much value
One thing to point out is that prosper and reckless fireweaver WILL go off as the treasure means you exile cards on casting exiled cards

Just yesterday I got an orcish bowmaster and keterekt parasite into a wheel and everyone instantly scooped. Love this deck so much!

My shop has sold so few Aftermath it's kind of absurd. All I want is to nab a Rocco, Street Chef for my Sisay's "Master Chef" deck

38:31 cephalid colosseum is a way to force draws that gets played in cedh. Be careful of that one.
