YES! 💜 the heaviest band ever, hands down… they did it first and best… the breakdown in liege of inveracity influenced everyone who came after and spawned slam metal… my fav song from this album is thrones of blood… “I must continue to strike her corpse!!!” 😂 saw them on this tour in 1995 with scattered remnants opening… speaking of whom, you should check out their song “vaginal vomit”… these guys were contemporaries of my old band and had a major influence on us as well as many other death metal bands in the northeast in the mid 90s
Thanks Shane buddy. This album is pure greatness. These guys are a old school go to it when I want to re-live my HS years in the 90s with that cassette walkman. This band and a lot of the big death metal bands was played a lot in my ears in the 1990s. PS.. Sorry MissAlphaba. haha.. this is another one of those Excedrin and Spiked Eggnog songs
The album Pierced from within is good from start to finish. Probably the best Suffocation album. Like you said, the sound is just really good, unique, rich and not found on any other album. In short, a unique album, even for Suffocation themselves.
What say me? Good, great, fantastic Shane, I am a fan of Suffocation👍. I have to tell you they’re not my all-time favorite band, but they’re great. They’re brutal, they’re heavy, they kick asses, they have scooped mids on guitars (they don’t give a shit about this ‘cut through the mix’ nonsense), blast beat, grinding vocals, and always 100% cotton underwear for touring 🩲. It’s a question of convenience. Breeding the Spawn (1993) is their best album (with the Scott Burns sound)🤘.
Classic DM record! essential I have another track for you check, Shane! I believe you have reviewed this band, but this track was released very recent. Lots of tight riffs and drums on this one! ATROCITY - FACES FROM BEYOND
Suffocation threw me out of the house of blues one time I was back with them after the show in the bar at their private table and I was drunk and acting like a drunk moron next thing I know I'm eating the sidewalk on sunset Blvd it was my fault I was drunk and stoned
I've always like the music but have also hated the vocals. But and a big butt (I like big butt's and I cannot lie) I have slowly added growly vocals into my listening and over time I have started liking most but not all. This now falls under I like. Great song.
The music wasn't bad for me, the sludgy parts were cool....I will take Mike B's suggestion to use this emoji to convey half-horns ☝...however, it is a firm (yet still polite) pass on the vocal style for me. Not a complete loss overall, though.....
My friends were into these guys, I didn’t really give a chance. Damn, should’ve of. I thought the black guy with glasses and skullet dreads was a cool stand out. 🤟🤟☕️🫖
For me, this is their best album. Their peak.
Torn Into Enthrallment is my favorite death metal song of all time, not just from Suffocation!

The greatest!!!
King 👑 metal band for ever 🤘💯… live! They smash you every time again and again😎💪
My favorite are the two before this, Thrones Of Blood, and Depths Of Depravity. HEAVY.

Love that fuzzy sound!

Broken Flesh- Blood Harvest, please Shane. These guys are newer but they are absolutely Brutal and are a Christian Band.

Frank is probably the best death metal vocalist of all time.

Oh! I almost got a full horn. Almost there....just not quite yet. haha
Frank is still one of the greatest in my opinion
Half Horns!! 🤣🤣🤣
