This is one of my favorite episodes. Rich has a great story and a lot could be learned from the way he chooses to lead his life. He had his bases covered and made a very clean, respectable exit from the pro skating stage. No fall from grace, Mulder is a professional on both sides of the coin. It shows in the way he speaks and carries himself. Great skater, great dude. As always, the nine club brings the heat.
This is probably the 20th episode I have watched. I will say, Richard's personality is 100% personal and fully likable. I am so stoked on his vibe! Again, thank you all @ the 9club!!!!
Damn respect Richard for speaking on his anxiety for a bit because some ppl don't understand it. Everyone gets anxiety but anxiety attacks can be intense.
I love Richard's analogy of how failing at a trick over and over again translates to the rejections (but eventual successes) of real estate or any career.
"Going to a Sugar Ray concert tonight in Nashville." "Hip-Hop." Watching that video brings tears of nostalgia to my eyes. Can't imagine what it feels like for those guys.
Love this comment my first skate video and Kenny Anderson was my first favorite video part to show me what a skate part was the song the dude the tricks and the whole crew really,, “ hip hop”
Richard is one of the very few skaters, along with Pat Duffy, Guy Mariano and Mike Carroll and that's about it, who deeply inspired, influenced and embedded my skateboarding back in the 90's. 4-5 minutes of Richard Mulder parts and boom, I was ready to go skate fully hyped for the entire day. I was so impressed by this guy, his mellow style and trick choices. It so great man to hear him now, talking about those days that were truly the golden era of skateboarding, really guys thanks so much for bringing him on the show!!
What’s up Richard! We connected in Boston during the street scene for Chocolate tour 2003-ish... I appreciate your genuine-ness brother - Bless you man
such a good success story of switching careers and interesting insight about identity. interesting idea about the "salesman" versus "someone that provides information."
"I don't really know exactly how it went down, but I do know, this is how it went down" Haha! Richard is rad! Him talking about Josh Beagle also... he would be a rad guest too!
I rode many of Richard's pro models back when he was still on. Such good shapes: 7.8 usually, and almost equally sized noses and tails. Underrated ripper. Thanks Nine Club!
This dude is the original pinch lord! 1st dude i can remember doing super pinched front crooks.... Richard is a legend!!! Still got my copy of Logic 4 on vhs, his part in that is so rad!
Dollin, Ellington, Greco, Hsu, Koston, Ave, Dill etc... I really like the episodes with the older guys who were skating through the 90's. They have the best stories
You guys do something for me that humans have been trying to figure out since the beginning of time; you make Monday's a bit closer to tolerable. We tried Hawaiian day, we tried funny hats and casual attire, all of which fell flat. You've perfected a craft, good sirs, and I commend you once again. Oh yeah, you also tackle the priceless task of archiving skate history along the way in a fashion that appears both appealing and effortless. CHEERS GENTS!🍻😎👍 And sincerest thanks from an old skate rat!
im kinda glad they took the call in portion out for this one, i feel like typically the questions the call in people ask have already been covered in the episode. i will say haven't ever watched the experience - maybe have the call-in portion at the beginning so you don't have to take it out ?
so funny he mentioned that world tour with Rodney and Kareem. Also crazy he mentioned crying in PA. I remember when they came to Pittsburgh. After the demo, we went and chilled in a local suburb. Rodney skated in this parking lot for hours. Kareem rolled blunts on the table inside a Taco bell. like 6 of us sat there watching Rodney for hours just smoking and smoking, until Rodney was done skating. . lol. . Probably why Mulder was crying in bed. they definitely weren't used to the middies we had here back in the early 90s. . they did like the price though. . haha
I skated Chaffey. We had moved from LA to Montclair and I would skate Chaffey. I would see Richard, JP Jadeed, Jess, Joey Brzezinski and others. I would just say what's up and skate. I bought Shoes off Richard. Such great times. This was about 1997- 2002
area of California that's close to LA but not on the coast. Like San Bernardino, Rialto, Ontario etc. It's got a lot of good skate spots but I'd much rather go down to SD
HELLLLLL FUCKING YESSSSS!!!
Richie Mulder was one of my idols growing up

As always, the nine club brings the heat.
Who else takes 4 hours to watch a 2 hour nine club because they are constantly looking up the clips and video parts they are talking about?
+Doug Eberle we put links in the description to try and ease the googling pain! 👍
The Nine Club Good to know, but I wasn't complaining- it's one of the best parts!
+Doug Eberle hahaha 👊🙌👊
pshhhhh. i finished this episode in 30 min
Haha always
one of the dopest episodes ever
I lived not too far from Chaffey High and it was always dope to run into Mulder there.
This is probably the 20th episode I have watched. I will say, Richard's personality is 100% personal and fully likable. I am so stoked on his vibe! Again, thank you all @ the 9club!!!!

Maybe I'm way too adult but this got interesting when they started talking about real estate for me.

"I don't really know exactly how it went down, but I do know, this is how it went down" Haha!
